I just saw in other topics that 221G is fav for NewDelhi .

My USC wife is here in india..we both went to interview..and the interview officer didnot ask much questions..everything went well he was kind of satisfied but at the end he said everything is good here but we need this document.

We also got 221g..we submitted the document they requested along with passport.(earlier last week)

Now waiting for visa.

Does anyone have idea how long it might take.

At VFS they said we will get a response in a week or 10days.

Anyone who had same exp pls tell us how much time it might take.

Depends on what kind of documents were asked for. If its more relationship proof documents, then those documents will be verified by the CO again and will depend if CO is satisfied with it or not.

If the asked documents were about tax return or any other official paper, then you should hear something soon given you have provided what they have asked for.

No one can give you exact time frame, but do keep calling either DOS or Delhi consulate every other day to know the progress of your case. Best wishes.

No news till now..we are still under AP

The requested document in AP was official(affidavit)

We called delhi embassy and they said its under processing and that they dont have any other info..

when we asked if they have received the doc he said " i dont know if you submitted it in VFS then we might have received it."

hoping to hear good news this week.

Don't Worry you will get approved. Some people had AP earlier from other countries and they made it and Delhi is not worst.

Hii friends

We called embassy the wednesday and they said that our docs have been received and the case is under review.

Next day (Thursday) we callled and they said visa is issued check your passport with VFS.

We are so happy.

Not yet got my passport. Embassy hasent yet dispatched my passport to blue dart.

I hope we get it soon.

Does anyone have idea how long it might take i think monday will be holiday and sat sun also embassy closed...maybe by tuesday ill get my passport with visa.

What about the sealed envelope which they give after interview is approved on day of interview. I guess that envelope is only opened at POE..Will i get it along with passport in courrier. Does anyone have idea..pls help.

Congrat, you should get your passport soon. You will receive the Brown envelop along with the passport, don't open it at any point, you will only have to submit it at POE. POE officer will open it.

my passport has arrived at blue dart office..they informed us a bit late..couldnt collect passport due to time shortage. Sunday and monday blue dart is closed, so will go and get by hand on tuesday.

Went to pick up visa and got visa in hand

All those who get 221g to submit more documents or evidences after interview just dont worry..will get passport in 2 weeks or so.

I know another girl who is not on VJ got 221g white sheet..she was asked to submit 7 documents including her USC husband's passport notarised copy, phone records, pictures, greeting cards , gifts receipts, her voter card..etc etc

She got her visa in 10 days.
