EAD in reference to I-9

Hi to everyone reading this,

I was reading section 2 of the I-9 that I have from my employer. My EAD card and approval notice letter did not arrive yet (it's been 2 weeks now since its approval according to its web case status) and I am getting anxious already with the possibility of it being lost in the mail. My question now is, can I just submit the original notice of receipt from USCIS together with the web case notification of the approval to my employer in lieu of the actual EAD card? The clause states that I still need 90days to present the actual card. Will this be applicable to my case or do I need to reapply for a replacement/lost card case? I just couldnt understand why USCIS did not have a tracking number for their mails via USPS..How I wish they have this feature to eliminate the pain of waiting for the mail to arrive not to mention the agony of thinking about the possibility of lost mails...

Also, does anyone have an experience on the longest waiting time for an EAD card to arrive? I am still hoping to get mine sooner....

Any thoughts on this matter is greatly appreciated....

Thanks so much.
