The "A" number is located on your NO2A at the top right hand corner... Good luck!

After i read some more i believe my case number is exactly as shown in letter that embassy sent to the petitioner. Not like what the stated in NOA 2.

I think every embassy got different treatment. Any Indonesian beneficiary has other opinion? Please let me know

The case number for the embassy and the alien number found on the NoA2 are two different things :)

I-751 package sent : 03/30/2012

The Department of State/consulate case number is different from the USCIS A-Number. The A-Number appears on the NOA2. The DoS/consular case number appears on the letter you should have gotten from NVC shortly after you received NOA2. It'll start with a three-letter prefix that denotes the consular post, followed by a series of ten digits that denotes the date of receipt at NVC and a sequence number.

So, taking ours as an example... SEO2009743XXX

SEO = consulate (Seoul, South Korea)

2009 = year

743 = Julian date + 500 (243 = August 31)

XXX = sequence number (case was the XXXth received for SEO on that date)

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Hi there.

What the medical clinic asks for is the NVC Case number, as described by Stephen + Elisha...this is completely different from the A# which is on your NOA2, printed above your name on the upper right hand corner.

thank you for very helpful info, my next question again is what should i put in to medical document when they ask about alien (case) number?
