k3 I-864 joint sponsor?

I don't have enough income to sponsor my husband for the I-864. Can my mother be a joint sponsor if she doesn't live in the same house as me? If my mother can be a Joint sponsor, do I have to file a I-864 as well as her, or does she just file a I-864.

You are the primary sponsor regardless of income and must file an I-134 for a K visa petition and/or an I-864 for a CR1 petition.

Mom would file her own affidavit of support and must qualify on her own income for the I-134. If you do not reside with mom, and she does not claim you as a dependent on her taxes then she cannot be a joint sponsor. She can be a co-sponsor and again her income will stand on its own.
