you can email pakivquery@state.gov or you can call the State Department at 202-663-1225. In both cases you will most likely be told that your case is currently under administrative processing and you will be contacted when it is completed. That is what I have been told anyway. My fiance was interviewed in Islamabad in Dec 08. AP truly has no limits. My future brother-in-law was completed 6 weeks after his interview and we are still waiting. The good and bad news is that he can be called to return his passport for the visa any day... or not.

I'm sorry to say that Yes, it can take that long and sometimes even longer. I've read of people who have been on AP for 2 years. I don't want to discourage you, but you're better off hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

Good Luck and Hang In There

She's asking a question. If you have nothing to contribute, keep your comments to yourself. Who cares if she's asking for herself or if she's asking for a friend. Really......some people on this site have too much time on their hands.

She can ask her Congressman/Senator to do an inquiry on her behalf. Although this will in NO WAY help expedite the AP, it may give her information about the status of the AP, like whether it is in review at the embassy itself or whether it is waiting clearance from DOS/Washington. Other than that, she can call DOS everyday and find out when there are updates or she can contact the ISB embassy. I am sorry that her husband is in AP for so long :(

We ourselves are waiting for my fiance's AP to be over. It has been more than 5 months now that we have been waiting since his interview. He interviewed at the US Embassy in London.

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

SSB - 10 months after the interview send a Fax to Islamabad Embassy - They will only give you more information once it has been 10 months or more with AP - and usually once contacted after 10 months they issue visas within 4 to 6 months -

Hope that helps.
