Rebeccajo, Charles is referring to the 20 years he put in with the United States Army, and all the other Veteran's who retired from Active Duty that are entiteled to Tricare.

Exactly, which is why I wonder at his intelligence, now Charles has proved it's not humour ;)

fortunately, roi understood it - probably because he's been there and done that. you, on the other hand, are blathering on about something you know nothing about. thanks for proving who really has intelligence

Read Rebeccajo's comment again. You ###### and moan about your government funded health care and yet you wouldn't trade it for a private option. You are a whiny idiot and insensitive to boot. Proving you are intelligent? That's absolutely impossible, but keep trying.

Wow, talk about a high horse. Charles, you really do take the biscuit way up there.

as you chose to stick your nose into the conversation, it's you this post was aimed at. roi chose to address rebecca with his reply. since you didn't have a clue where the 20 year remark came from, i took the liberty of quoting roi just for you. now sod off.

Robert -

I'd hate to think you are implying that people who have military service are somehow 'more entitled' to healthcare than the rest of us who have worked all our lives in the private sector. Work is work and if we are going to apply the yardstick that Americans have to earn their health cover, then let's be even handed about it.

And I know what TriCare is and how you get it. I work in health care, remember? PS - I also know what CHAMP is too. And I know what the VA is.

I know TriCare is some of the best coverage out there and that Charles bitche$ about it all day long.

And in case it's lost on you or anybody else, I don't have any health insurance right now. So I'd trade Charles in a heartbeat for his 'crappy' TriCare.

lemme know when your job includes the potential for being shot at, nuked, and chemical/bio weapons too, along with 12-18 hour days/nights

Don't start with me. Don't even start with me about who 'deserves' insurance.

so in short, your job does not.

Excuse me?

Rebeccajo,

I'm sorry that you don't have health insurance and understand how you would like to have TriCare, or any other insurance. I actually was not aware you work in health care or your situation.

As far as your "work is work" comment, I have to disagree with you on that. As someone who worked on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier and risked my life 7 days a week, 16 hours a day, for as long as we were out to sea, out there on the front lines keeping this nation safe, maybe I'm a little biased as to whether or not I was "more entitled".

Robert, you have to realize that some ppl here feel they are "entitled" to it. With that being the premise you will never convince them otherwise.

I believe some people that didn't vote for him are racist, on a varying scale of what racism is- be it heavy dogmatic racism or be it that strange discomfort some white people get when all alone in an elevator with a black guy...

But not the majority, no.

What about the people who didnt for political reasons. I believe its a much more significant amout outside the majority.

A well dressed black man in a elevator is not going to scare me but dressed like a thug well yes I will be a little on edge and hell he doesnt have to be black. A fidgeting white meth addict is going to get the same reaction from as a thug looking black man. I dont believe that most people use color as a reason to be on edge.

I'm curious what voting for non-political reasons means.

Using his color in any way to be a reason not to vote for him.

It is absolutely right that those who served in the military in service to this country deserve government provided healthcare for life. I thank them for their service and sacrifice. Health care is the least we can do for them.

Hello, no one said they shouldn't get it.

There are plenty of dangerous jobs, I don't see why this one qualifies for special treatment any more than the folks who risk their lives working for humanitarian relief charities or working on international development projects in the 3rd world.

Is that what Rebecajco does? Are you really trying to make a argument for what she said, it was ridiculous. Servicing in the military is the same?, come on.

The difference is the military does it in defense of this nation. People working for humanitarian relief charities can walk away anytime they want.

In order to get people to join the military and put their lives in harms way, health care and insurance are used as incentives, along with others.

If people want those types of benefits, then by all means join the military and serve your country instead of looking for handouts.
