I came across another link for health insurance: eHealth Insurance

Arabella, I'm confused about your statement that says there's no waiting period in Florida. There isn't a waiting period for visitors, but residents have to wait three days. I know we did. :unsure:Link

I called the courthouse and they said if at least one person was not a Florida resident, there would not be a waiting period. They also told me I could pay the non-resident fee, which is like $30 less. :)

"Q. Does the waiting period apply to nonresidents of Florida?

A. No. If either party is a nonresident of this state, no waiting period is required."

Haha. I don't even want to go there with the "I was told... " scenario. We've been dealing with government entities for too long! But since his address will be the same as your address when you apply for the license, you may run into a different opinion. Good thing you'll be getting it ahead of time.

Hmm well I didn't think he could get a driver's license and all that until we got married. So I was assuming they'd see his Ontario license and Canadian passport and consider him a non-resident.

I'll stil be getting it ahead of time so it doesn't matter and I don't care about the extra cost if they deem us both Florida residents.
