Actually NJ has the worst drivers, officially.

There was a survey published recently that found that NJ drivers had the least grasp of the Highway Code.

Have driven in both SoCal and NJ. Driving in NJ is much worse - bad drivers and poorly maintained roads.

I believe it, never been to NJ though but I have been to California, Bay Area specifically. I couldn't believe the stuff I would see on a daily basis.
