Do I really need to send the Choice of Agent form by mail or can I just scan it and send to NVC via email? Thanks.

March 12,2009-- Married at Quezon City Hall of Justice
USCIS/NVC STAGE
May 8,2009-- I-130 Sent
August 17,2009-- I-130 Approved
August 26, 2009--case received at NVC
November 5,2009--CASE COMPLETED
USEM MANILA STAGE/ U.S. SOIL
November 17-18,2009--Medical PASSED
December 10, 2009--Interview @ 8:30AM A-P-P-R-O-V-E-D
January 25, 2010--FLIGHT(Manila-Japan-Detroit,MI-Buffalo,NY)
February 22,2010-- 2-yr GREEN CARD received
February 26, 2010--SSN received
REMOVING of CONDITIONS
December 22, 2011-- I-751 mailed
February 28, 2012-- Biometrics done
October 10, 2012-- 10-yr GREEN CARD received
NATURALIZATION
January 09, 2013-- sent N-400
January 28, 2013-- Biometrics

May 22, 2013-- Interview Passed- Officially a US Citizen!

mailing in the hard copy is a good idea as they seem to process that much quicker than the e-mail.

2009-08-10 : I-130 NOA2 (APPROVED - E-mail received!!!)

2009-08-17 : NVC received case

2009-08-18 : Case # assigned

2009-08-25 : DS-3032 and AOS bill generated (paid AOS)

2009-08-26 : E-mailed DS-3032

2009-08-27 : AOS shows PAID

2009-08-27 : DS-3032 mailed (scheduled to arrive on 2009-09-01 via express mail from Chittagong, Bangladesh)

2009-08-27 : AOS package sent to NVC overnight

2009-08-28 : AOS packaged delivered before noon!

2009-09-04 : DS-3032 accepted (didn't receive an e-mail but assumed it was accepted as IV bill became available for payment)

2009-09-04 : IV Fee bill generated (payment shows in progress)

2009-09-05 : IV bill PAID

2009-09-08 : DS-230 sent to NVC (overnight!)

2009-09-09 : DS-230 delivered!

2009-09-18 : Login Failed!!!

2009-09-21 : Case completed at NVC!!! Alhamdullilah!

2009-10-07 : Case left NVC!

2009-11-23 : Interview at 9 am. Alhamdullilah!!!

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

I did both.

... the thing is, before the NVC replied to my email regarding DS3032, my DS230 Instruction Packet arrived beforehand. :D

  • 11.09.08 - Docs signed for by whoever R. Mercado is of USCIS... (via tracking result)
  • 11.18.08 - Application transferred to California Service Center
  • 11.20.08 - NOA1 Received
  • 06.25.09 - Approval Notice sent on e-mail from USCIS.. Yaaaa~Ha!!! Thanks "Bro"!
  • 06.29.09 - NOA2 Approval Notice hard copy recv'd
  • 07.14.09 - AOS Notice letter from NVC recv'd
  • 07.24.09 - Recv'd DS-3032 (choice of agent) with MNL Case No.
  • 07.28.09 - AOS certified check payment recv'd at NVC
  • 08.01.09 - DS-3032 Mailed to NVC via UPS
