Bus driver should be held liable.. culpable neglegence!

What was the bus driver to do? If he touches them he'd be sued. If he had an accident while trying to pull over, he'd be sued. Give people the power to take control of a situation before throwing them under the bus.

These kids parents should be charged on the grounds of raising neanderthal knuckle dragging kids. Aka morons.

The driver is in charge of the students and the bus... or is paid to be... the driver had the duty to pull to the side of the road and contact the police at a minimum.. and also to identify those students that were taking part.. By doing nothing, the driver condoned the act......

In charge? first I heard of that. A driver is there to drive. Not to teach 16 year old ghetto thugs how to behave like civilized members of society. Why not just charge the driver for assault and just let the teenagers off. But anyway. What difference would pulling over and calling the police have made for the victim? None. Or are metal detectors not enough in American schools, therefore, maybe we should just include police officers on every school bus.

Looks like the ** floresiensis are not extinct after all, they just moved to the middle of America. They somehow managed to morph into humans; yet their brains stayed the same.

too funny... He demands ethical responsibility for the treatment of poultry but a bus driver has no ethical or professional responsibility other than to get the bus from point a to b without an accident... bus accident... screw the kids thats the POS parents problem... :rofl:

With that logic a pilot only need worry about getting the plane to the destination.. why worry about telling the athorities that there are hijackers on board.. Not my job man! I just fly the damned plane! I dont care what happens to the passengers! Not my problem! :rofl:

Or do you feel the driver has no responsibility other than to drive the bus? If it were a group of students raping a young girl... Not my job man.. I just drive the bus?

The black kid who beat the white kid should go to jail, plain & simple. Charge his sorry #### with everything from assault to disorderly conduct. There is absolutely no excuse for his behavior. As for the bus driver he had a duty to at least report the incident, if not stop it.

The color of the kids has no bearing on it.. The @sshole that beat the kid up and the other @sshole that suckerded him afterwards both need to be sent to jail for quite some time.. there was at least 1 white kid egging it on....so race shouldnt factor into it..

Well they are 16. If they had pulled this stunt off on a street corner, they would have been charged with assault and sent to juvi.

Fact is, that the bus driver cannot touch the teens period. Furthermore, what if they turned on him? or would that too just be part of his job.

This is just more proof that if you live in loserville, you have little chance of receiving a decent education.

Watch the vid and from the point of time that the fighting starts, pretend you are driving that bus and tell me how long it would take you to A. Realize this is more than the usual "school bus BS" and B. to then find a place to pull over.

Also, you are watching the vid, the driver is watching the road and at best has a mirror to glance and see what is going on, still I am surprised we did not hear a peep from the driver.

Also an Airline Pilot is a professional, school bus drivers are often 8-10 an hour workers, in fact in many parts of the country, High school kids drive the buses.

What we have here are behavior problems no bus driver or school is equipped to handle.

Not only have we successfully dumbed-down the education standards to the lowest common denom, we have done the same thing for behavior standards as well.

Even so this does afford some level of education which is why I suggest all parents send their kids to at least a few years of Public education.

The experience of this diversity will last a lifetime.
