Woot!! Divorce date for my sweet baby is gonna be august 2th. Hopefully we should be able to send the petition mid august...

Heres my question. I dont read the board everyday and there is so many posts its hard to stay updated with everything..

My fiancé lives in Illinois, and technically we are supposed to send every immigration documents to Nebraska Service Center when we file from Illinois. But now I read that Nebraska and Texas are not processing K-1's anymore so that they are sending everything to Vermont and California.

Is there any website or anything stating that I should send it directly to one of these service centers or I have to send it to Nebraska anyways and they gonna take care of the transfert?

Thanks a lot :)

Cant wait to be in the waiting line finally to start seeing the end of it  (been waiting for 8 months to send it)

From what I've read on VJ, you send it to the NVC and they take care of the transfer... Just send the petition according to the instructions provided in the I129f. They're pretty straightfoward.

Good luck with the divorce and the K1 filing!

I have not heard or read about Nebraska and Texas not processing K-1 Visas. I would follow the directions on the instructions for the I-129F, and if says to send your application to Nebraska (because of the state your US fiance lives in), then I would follow the instructions.

Good luck for a speedy process.
