OK, I have a friend who would like to pursue a relationship with a long time friend of hers overseas (middle east) but she had an incident a few years back which landed her misdemeanor charges in her file. She thinks that they have no chance of bringing him here due to this charge. Is this true? Would she have a lot of problems with immigration due to this? What do u all think?

OK well I have 3 felonies and numerous misdemeanors in the past and have been to prison due to drug and alcohol charges with the last incident in 1997 and I was my husbands sponsor with no problems. I was even told I wouldn't be able to get a passport and it came in 4 weeks instead of 2 weeks. Well I wasn't able to get my real estate license I oculd of if I wanted to hire an attorney but I didn't. SO Hope that helps. My husband has been here since June of 2007.

As long as it is not say child abuse it should not be a problem. WHich Visa are they appluying for? I know the petioner is looked at a little harder on a K1 rather than the CR1.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?
