police ccertificate(no crime) good for one year?

Hello, I have heard police clearances are valid for one year but not sure? My SO got all her documents (birth,not married,no crime) in march when we filled. Our interview is late september. Thanks for any help! ps she insists they are good for one year......

yes one year

but if it gets close to one year, the consulate may ask for a new one

If it doesn't cost you much, I would get the most current so that it 'CAN'T' be a reason for getting a blue slip.
