Anyone have a good link which might compare available CANADIAN healthcare plans for individuals returning to their home province who need to wait out the 3 month waiting period, before OHIP kicks back in?

Greenshield and Blue cross are options and i'm sure there are a couple other companies. This is for my daughter in the event that she returns as a student.

I had supplemental insurance with BCBS in Canada in Saskatchewan, and it was excellent, and the customer service was very good. I see though you were looking for others. Sorry, I don't know of any, but I'm sure someone from Ontario will pipe in!

Here's the link to BCBS:

I found this on the OHIP site:

How can I get coverage during the waiting period?

During the waiting period, you may be able to purchase private health insurance through a private insurance company if you meet the company's eligibility requirements.

Contact a private insurance company or call the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association Inc. at 1 800 268-8099. In Toronto, call (416) 777-2344.
