If anything, gym usually clears my mind a bit and I sleep better.

Most of us are clearly under severe stress and pills don't help IMO.

BTW, I'd recommend NOT blocking the sun. Makes a world of difference in how you wake up.

I'm probably going to get flamed for this but I'm not a big fan of sleeping pills so I tried something I've heard about for years....it's a natural substance called Melatonin. It isn't a sleeping pill but what it does is helps you to relax enough that sleep comes easily. With all the stress lately, I've used it a few times and it works very well. AND....I have no aftereffects from it the next morning like I have had before with prescription sleeping pills.

Hugs, Liz

I do....i've been flamed before for offering my opinion so I'm used to it.

Although this time I'm not sure why someone would have a problem with something like this.....

hehehe...thanks Igor...

If I'm to hyped up it will take me hours to get to sleep. I usually have a nice cup of hot, caffeine free, tea before bed...works wonders for me.

Well, my point is you have to try different things and see what works for you. Fresh air works for me, going to the gym or swimming also helps me fall asleep quicker. Oh, yeah, going to bed before midnight helps too... rrrright...

Maire - It is a pill but it's not like a valium .... it's a natural substance so your body doesn't react to it like it would a prescription sleeping pill. Melatonin is something everyone's body produces but in some instances not enough is produced and that is what can cause you trouble falling to sleep. Try reading this...it explains it better than I can...

http://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/tc/melatonin-overview

Lee - thanks...i'd rather not get flamed today..lol! I'm with you, I've not had any side effects or problems with it and it's just enough to allow me to lay down and pretty much fall right to sleep. Normally i'll lay awake for up to 2 hours before falling asleep.

Hugs, Liz
