Does your professor want a little Maire? Is your professor not the sharpest fellow? Does he know geography? Or is he just giving you a hard time?

I dunno...I sent an email to him saying thanks for sharing an article regarding immigration reduces crime rates...and he replied with that..... :blink:

Your hubby is going to be in for a surprise when he gets to Miami, huh?

Yeah...where we are from is like 200 people in the whole town...the city is called Quemado de Guines...no cars..just horses and bicycles...no traffic lights....one "club" that closes at 12am, no restaurants, no movie theater, you can walk the whole city in 20 minutes....

No for the first time he went to the capital "havana" when we went for the interview...first time he ever got into a car..can u believe that...he says that he is dying to see me drive a car..because he has never seen a woman drive a car...i told him that he better get ready because here everyone drives...lol

Whoa! He will be literally in a different world. Did you prepare him for a completely different life?

I told him and he says that he has watched movies...but I know he will be in shock...I know I was when I got here...and sometimes I see myself driving a car...and doing all this things and I still cant believe where I came from....its a different world..

He is going to see 4 times the size of his town in the first 5 minutes here! And more cars than there are bikes... just take him home and let him soak it up slowly!

yeah i know....I got here 1998...I was 13 years old...its been 11 years

How many people will your hubby know when he gets here?

his mom/stepdad/brother/grandmother/uncle/2 friends and me and my family...not bad..i really wish he didnt know anyody tho
