LIz,

We have started to complete the paperwork for AOS... Need some clarification on the 693 thingie you were talking about. We have a form 3025 is that good enough? What is the problem with the 693 and people getting RFEs for them?

Oh... and mornin y'all

Morning sweetie!

Ok...from what I've been reading on the AOS forum, the 3025 is what some people sent in and had no problems. Others sent just that in and got an RFE saying they needed to file the I-693 with the 3025 transcribed by a Civil Surgeon. There is a section on the I-693 that the CS will fill out based on what is on the 3025. Most of the one's I know who filed AOS with us in February had the I-693 filled out and haven't gotten an RFE so far. It's really up to you whether or not you want to take the chance. Your lucky however that there is a CS in your area that will do JUST the transcription......Pat had to have another "medical" done because not a single one of th CS's in our area would do the paperwork without one.

Hugs, Liz

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I would like to file this today so that they are not out of status, so I think I will take my chances and send in the 3025 instead of the 693.

I am soooooooo confused :) 325, 485, 131, 1145, 765, 864... sheesh gimme a break... and just how much do I send in?

By the way, we went to the SS department yesterday... waited and waited only to get to the window and be told we could not get her a SS# because the card could not be delivered before the expiration of her I-94 form so come back after the status has changed??? ####### difference does that makes??

Your welcome, sweetie! Anything I can do to help....and my fee won't be too much either... :innocent::whistle::innocent: LOL!

I know...it's so much to do. We went in just the I-485, I-864 and the one for the EAD (765???). Pat didn't want to bother with AP since we have no plans of him going back to visit before he gets his GC. I know you have a bit more to fill out with have the kids paperwork to do as well. The only thing "extra" we sent was our tax information and W2's to go with the I-864. Just don't forget the copies of their passports, the 2 passport style pictures and make sure you make two full copies of everything you send in!

Yeah, from what i understand they have to have something that gives them legal status to be in the US in order to get a SS#. If you'd gone before you got married, you wouldn't have had any problems with getting one...for some reason once your married they make you wait until after you get the GC....pretty silly if you ask me!

Morning Lee...how are you?

I think Richard would probably be the best one to answer your question since he has to do the paperwork for Joanna's kids. I got confused with it all as well and can only imagine what it would have been like if I'd had to do for a K2 as well...lol!

I am good. Trying to remain positive that our long wait is soon coming to an end. Although me and the fellas are thinking of taking a road trip to Nashville in April to go and see some fights. I would like to go, but if given a choice would much rather have Oksana here before then. I might try and bring her and convince the boys that instead of a guys road trip we should bring the women. After they laugh at me we'll see what happens.

How are you and Pat doing?

Oh cool...it sounds like a road trip would be fun...with or without the women..lol!

Pat and I are doing really good. He's dying to work but he's doing so well at being patient too. I'm the anxious one right now with not hearing anything on our AOS while others that filed around the same time are. It's hard but at the same time i'm happy for them...you know what I mean?

Hugs, Liz
