All you can do is your part in trying and working things out. He has to do his part. Maria and I have issues, but we work together as best we can to get them worked out. She is very sensitive and I am very stubborn. Just be patient and do what you can do.

Love seeing this....nice to have others in the same situation as you to talk to! Pat and I are still trying to get used to each other's little diffences but we're making it because we talk to each other. With my ex I never felt comfortable talking about things because he always was so harsh in his responses...thankfully with Pat I have NO fear of that and we are able to communicate very easily!

For the most part I am done. Unfortunately for everyone in my family they are getting nothing. I told them all that in advance though so everyone is cool with it. Buying plane tickets will drain my bank account so everyone understands. Plus I am going to give Oksana some money when she gets here to buy her and Alisa clothes. I don't think they will be ready for the harsh Florida heat.

What do you have left to get Derek? Did you get the tree up yet?

Luckily I don't have to worry about buying for my family....there are just too many of us and we all agreed long ago not to buy gifts...just too expensive! We usually will buy for our parents but that's it. This year I did for them, Jessie and Pat so it wasn't too bad.

Our family buys for the kids! I have to get somethings for Kaylin and Maria still.. I have done some but not all. I want to get Maria an ornament for the tree and stockings for both girls. I got her a $2 bill, she said they are worth a lot in her country, I said they are worth 2 bucks here! I got both girls snuggies too!!

hehe...the number of kids in our family is even worse...lol! We do however draw names for them...so that's fun!

been a good while since I was logged in here, I am usually on facebook on my phone. I am not at home much on my computer, I am usually up in my mom in laws, she had her surgery and needed help, we were also in Vegas. so sorry again for not being able to log in as often as I would have liked. so much news since i was here last here, so I will just say hope everyone is doing great.

been a good while since I was logged in here, I am usually on facebook on my phone. I am not at home much on my computer, I am usually up in my mom in laws, she had her surgery and needed help, we were also in Vegas. so sorry again for not being able to log in as often as I would have liked. so much news since i was here last here, so I will just say hope everyone is doing great.

Not yet....we had a bit of a setback with finances and had to use a few hundred dollars of what he had saved for it. We're planning on getting it done in the next couple of weeks though.

Have you? And what are you doing with the I-693? I've been reading on the AOS forum and there are actually a lot people who have filed AOS and NOT filed the I-693 and been approved....I'm debating this because of the cost of the civil surgeons fees in our area. Not sure I want to chance an RFE though....it's enough to make you pull your hair out!

We have decided to not send it in, just sending in the DS-3025 and taking our chances, evn if we get an RFE it is not like the previous K-1 application, I am here with him, so waiting another little bit will not hurt our filing. Plus it might save us some buckaroos

That's my thinking process at the moment as well....still need to talk it over with Pat though to see what he wants to do. I just find that whole part of the process ridiculous.

Thanks Susan. Where at did you stay in Vegas? I just love that city. Thats where we are going for our honeymoon. Unfortunately we won't be getting married there, but a honeymoon there is just as good for me.
