Good Morning everyone! We went on friday to apply for the social security card...my question is when can he get and Id card..we went to Hooters the other day and we forgot his passport and he couldnt drink....his passport cannot fit in this wallet...so I was thinking meanwhile he starts studying for his drivers license may be he can get and ID..anybody knows?

It depends on the rules in your state. Patrick can't get an ID or DL until he has either his EAD or Greencard....that's just how it is in the state of Texas. I would suggest looking at the website or calling the office that handles DL's in Florida. And btw....even if he does get an ID, it's a good idea to always have his passport since that has his visa in it.....just my thoughts....

Kinda sounds that way....if there is a phone number you can call, that might be an option too..just to be sure. Would hate for you to take the time to go and then not be able to.

It looks like he also will need to take that course....

Hang on...found another part that says he needs his EAD before he can get it...

Morning everyone...

Maria and I went to the DMV and tried to get her an ID, to avoid carrying the passport everywhere. They told us we needed some form and ssn or the green card and ssn. We left!

I don't recall the form. One thing I have noticed is that no one has a clue as to what the K-1 or I-94 is or means. The ssn folks were idiots and the DMV folks asked for something I didn't recognize. Not to mention that on a non-immigrant visa there is a waiting period for an ID. We were told that even if we did have the form and stuff, it would be mailed to us and could take 30 days. And, the ID will expire the same date as the I-94. So we would have a valid ID for like 2 weeks, and it would cost $35 or whatever the cost is.

Morning guys, sorry i was on stand by Liz could say hello yet but here i am... I been thinking of helping Kat obtain her ID but from what i read...she needs proof of permanent residence or something that shes in the process of that... by the way... I think i will file the AOS in January or late december....eventhought her visa expires Dec. 4 that is the deadline for marriage, after that i believe she has done what she came to do and she has her ssn, i think her status changes automatically once she gets married to a citizen and i heard its ok to file it after the visa expired...so i think i will do that due to our financial situation.

How was everyone this weekend by the way, mine was quiet, stayed in, it was kinda cold anyways... =/ i miss the warm weather...

Had to catch up on all of the reading.

Carlos congrats. You both look so happy in the pictures. Great looking couple. Glad to hear that your wife is adjusting quickly.

Liz I love the new picture. She is so cute.

Maire the DMV in Florida sucks. I am sorry and I hope you can get it straightened out and get him an ID so he can party.

Jamie its getting closer everyday.

Derek Fedor in person is just so normal looking I still have a hard time believing that he is the baddest man on the planet. He just looks so average. I can't get over it.

Igor the time will fly by for you. Don't worry it will be over soon.

Chicago was awesome. It was much cleaner tham I thought it would be. The weather was great. I will post some pics when I get home tonight. The fights went exactly as me and my wallet predicted so I had some extra spending money that night. There was a huge contigent of Russian people at the fights and I made some new friends and got drunk with them afterwards.
