I am optimistic, but it comes and goes and today it just feels like there is no end in sight. I am certain it will and that it won't be much more than a few weeks. Frankly, because Siberia is cold and I don't want to go there again. At the zoo there they keep the polar bears outside and the monkeys inside. A very different experience for me.

Well, we've decided what we're going to do (like decorations and stuff)...we just need to get the money we're waiting for and then we can buy it. Everything we are doing will be really simple to do the day of.....it's just a matter of buying it all now...

I have pretty much decided we are doing "One Stop Shop" in Vegas. Although by virtue of how many of my friends are going we can no longer have it on the Eiffel tower. Which is fine I am going to take her to dinner there instead. I am excited, but I'd be more so if the embassy would move their a$$e$.

I have pretty much decided we are doing "One Stop Shop" in Vegas. Although by virtue of how many of my friends are going we can no longer have it on the Eiffel tower. Which is fine I am going to take her to dinner there instead. I am excited, but I'd be more so if the embassy would move their a$$e$.

I'd have done something like that but no one in my family would have been able to make it.....it's going to be a smallish wedding and I would have had everything purchased had a "friend" not screwed me out of 100.00 she promised to send me.

Liz I am ready to seriously kick some butts at this point. I just hate the feeling of my life being on hold while we wait. The worst part for me is how discouraged Oksana is today. That is just killing me and making it hard to get anything else done today.

Lee - I can only guess how this must feel for the two of you...I wish I could do something to help get them moving at the embassy!!! Are you going to try to make any more calls or have your Congressional liason make another inquiry?

Have you emailed the Embassy about your case? It so sad that it takes them a while, but from the amount of people that go through there every day I can see why.

I e-mail the embassy every Monday and I make a stupid $12 phone call every Friday. The gist of the conversations are that they'll get to it when they get to it. Friday will be one week since I spoke to my congressional liason. I will give him until next Friday. I am hoping that I never need to speak to him again, because we will have our visa before then. It sucks, but at least you guys let me vent. Thanks.

Yeah but they've had a month to "get to it when they get to it"! It should NOT take them that long to read a dang email and look a some photos!!! I hope you don't have to talk to him again either sweetie...it's about time this is over and they let you and Oksana get on with your lives together!
