yeah, sometimes a change is good. and it's better to go lighter than darker if you think you might want to change it back. Trust me, I dyed my hair very dark brown during my time in Brazil and getting it back to its natural color (once I woke up and realized I looked too Morticia Adams) has been a huge pain.

Your hair color is beautiful! What about some hi-low lights?

I think if you want to change it then do highlights. Some nice light brown and dark blond highlights would be lovely. I have died my hair before and lightening is always a nightmare, you never know how your hair is going to take to the dye... mine turned orange. Good luck!!!

If you're gonna do it I say get it done professionally.

I wouldn't worry about it much... when I travel you can't see anything but my face and hands and they don't seem to mind. It lists my hair color on my IDs but who would know if it was green????

If I was you I wouldn't do it though... it looks better dark and when you lighten it, it's going to wash your complexion out.

Maybe you should post the color and we'll vote on it

it's hard to dye dark hair anyway.. i used a light brown and my hair is still didnt change much.. just lighter in the light or outside.. it's like a highlight more than a color change.. but i really like it that way..

Yeah i was thinking of maybe of just some lowlights, just for fun. I dunno yet, i have been debating this for a while...

I found something cool on the Clairol website, its called the Try it On Studio... you download your pic and can change your haircolor and then it shows you before and after

for example:

beforeaft.jpg

Not the color I'd do it, but think its pretty cool changing your hair color online before actually dying... I am occupied for the next couple of hours lol

dont do it..

That color? Don't worry lol. Was just an example.

I have a pal who travelled a lot in purdah - and she said one day her and 2 of her female companions wore fake moustaches under it to see if anyone noticed - and no-one did! (It wasn't a cross border thing AFAIK tho)And they were all trying hard to look demure and meek and not bust out laughing

Yeah, I would definately keep the dark hair but maybe try some lowlights...my hair is so dark that to go light would freak Joel out! Besides, I've been told that high/low lights are great for when those pesky grey hairs start coming in. ;)
