I think Kanye made one song I liked...but something about him has always rubbed me the wrong way.

I'm glad his mother didn't have to see him making a fool out of himself. What he did is possibly the most juvenile thing I've ever seen on live TV.

It's like he's got turrets of the brain. As for the videos...I just watched and listened to both of them. Beyonce's song was your typical bubblegum senseless lyrics song, with a VERY uncreative video. I mean, that's the stuff Bob Fosse was doing over 30 years ago. Taylor's song actually had lyrics and structure. Taylor's video told a story and took the viewer on a journey...not just an experience of big butts in latex. After comparing the videos...it escalates him to an idiot to the 10th power.

On a side note, most of the award shows (Grammys, Oscars) are decided internally by members of the professional associations. The VMA and People's Choice Awards are the only ones I know of that are decided by the public. I think industry only nominations and voting are pretty pointless.

We’re not exactly sure what Kanye West is on but her totally ambushed Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for her VMA win for Best Female video, stealing her microphone and insulting her win.

So here’s what happened. The nominations for Best Female Video were announced. Taylor Swift was announced the winner and just after she thanked her fans for giving her the award and acknowledged that she never thought she could win, Kanye West grabbed the microphone out of her hand and said “Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.”

Beyonce, looking embarrassed and confused (much like Taylor Swift) kept shaking her head and really had no idea what was going on.

Taylor, being the sweetheart that she is, stood politely and waited for Kanye to give the microphone back – only to be cut-off by a video that began playing on the big screen.

Needless to say, Taylor didn’t get to say her speech at all and Kanye West made a huge #### of himself. Once again Kanye showed the world his true colors and took a great moment away from a very deserving young lady.

Thanks again Kanye. Thanks for nothing.

On another note, Taylor Swift looked amazing and is one of the most respected and talented musicians of her generation. More than we can say for you, right Kanye?
