I put the PP pics in Zip-locks a stapled to a bland page behind the G325AS.

Printed out 4 digital pics of us and family with captions on one page.

When in doubt thru out the process "More ammo the better".

Worked for us and I'm submitting for USC bukas!

Here is what I did:

1) for passport pics - I got a stick-on plastic cd case from office depot and attached it to an 8.5*11 inch piece of heavy paper. I ran the paper thru the printer and labeled it. Then i put the pics in the cd case and taped it shut. Very neat and very organized.

2) pictures - I created a powerpoint presentation with 4 pictures per page. Each picture was described and dated. I sent in 4 pages of pics from 2 visits.

3) Unlike the other poster - I kept my evidence to a minimum - why ??? because USCIS focus is simply on validating the documents and proving that the couple has met. Thick packages require more time to process and might be put aside because the adjudicators want to process as many petitions as possible (ie quota system).

However, at the interview - you need to bring a ton of evidence for the USCIS folks.

I used the ACCO 2 hole binders.

I put passport in a plastic badge holder and punched 2 holes in the holder

I included about 10 pics of us and it was on 2 total pages printed off a printer

Placed it in zip lock bag, used two staples on top of zip lock bag to attach to blank sheet of white paper, wrote "Photo of (your fiancee's name)" on zip lock bag in black non erasable marker. Your good to go!

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Charlie, congratz on getting the package together. It's a big step and accomplishment! We hope you had a gr8 time meeting your girl for the 1st time--ain't nothing like it!

In case I missed it, can you report on how it went with your party, gift giving, vibe with the relatives? It's an awkward and stressful time when we are under the microscope and all. We don't want to be pressured to spend money like water, but likewise, we don't want to appear "kuripot" (stingy) either. It sounds like you are a sensible guy, and draw limits tactfully as needed. We do need to change the stereotype that Kanos are born with a lucky leprechaun kettle of gold coins to handout.

Best wishes to you and your girl, and here's to getting that NOA1 next week!

ps, if you already made tenative plans to go back while flying home, welcome to the club. You are now one of the doomed and addicted to these magical women.

This is among the best advice you will get. Keep your packet thin, because the adjudicators want quick and easy, and will pick your packet out of the giant pile over the 8 Lb Jumbo Dumbo ones. Just send them what they ask for. Less is more, when the goal is getting your packet accepted and just proving that you met. THen, Pinay takes a big bag of chats. phone logs, receipts, fotos, etc to the embassy.

it went great!!!! I was still tired from flying in the night before didn't get to sleep till about 4am....They told me people were going to start to show up about 3 but they started to show up at 10 .....lol..... she has a great family 30 people ended up being over 60 (my head was spinning) ......I was doing mano (blessing) to the people I was supposed to ( she was helping me by telling me who) and all her younger brothers and sisters and cousins and even aunts and uncles were doing it to me ....I guess because I was older......I guess a lot of people were shocked when her grandfather got there I went to bless him but he pulled his hand away and gave me a big hug.....she said that her family was shocked .....I was drinking mig light ....her uncles were trying to get me to do a lot of GSM with them but I told Pam when they called me over to bring me to meet someone else (really didn't want to get drunk) but about 11 pm they got some redhorse and that is how we ended the night....Really the whole experience there was a culture shock for me on how they lived but I love how the family is structured and helps each other out all the time!!!!! Also asked dad off to the side if I could have his daughters hand and he said of coarse since she has made up her mind and she is a grown girl and there is nothing he can do...lol......it was a great week

what about the declaration do you have to put it on a separate sheet?

I am assuming you are filing for a K-1. Keep in mind that everything you send in is highly scrutinized due to the fact they find quite a few applications are bogus, submitted by people just trying to get a visa and there is no real relationship. From what I read there are more RFE's because of lack of supporting evidence to substantiate a true relationship. Sometimes justified, sometimes not. I probably sent more then what is really needed, I just wanted to be safe. An RFE can slow things down. I did not know about the Pic's in a baggie, I just paper clipped ours to the application because it said not to use staples. Remember once you get the NOA 2 that means the US Visa Service, NVC has examined, investigated you and approved your application. Now its in the hands of the Embassy which is where you really want to be certain you have crossed your T's and dotted your I's. They have the final say. Just remember, don't assume anything. I hope my input helps you a little. We are still waiting for the NOA-2 ourselves. We wish you the very best, I'm certain things will go well.

That is correct as during the waiting process you will be building more of the relationship. Document everything! If you are going back to see her take lots & lots of pictures and not just you and her but you and her family as well! Just because your passport is stamped Philippines does not mean you were there to see her, so lots of pictures. Good luck with everything, never hesitate to ask questions if you need help. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people on VJ.

I included some photos with my wife's family. a couple from her mom's B-day and a couple from our engagement party.

as the saying goes, a picture can be worth a thousand words.

I used a separate sheet to describe how we meet. no need to go into great detail, just briefly describe your visit to your fiance. I think I ended it with something like.. "now we are looking forward to spending the rest of our life's together..."
