Skin So Soft Mosquito Repellent actually wasn't all that bad... for those beach camping trips.

:lol: :lol: I had never heard of that before until my BIL asked me for my supply when tackling my back yard....I thought he was pulling my leg :unsure:

I used to drink Avon after shave, but I switched to Amway.

I love Amway products, only cost three times as much as comparable products and at least half as good, can't beat that for value. Son is telling me about these door to door vacuum cleaner salesguys, said, what, 1500 bucks for a piece of plastic with a 12 amp motor? Said I am out of date, they are 3,000 bucks now.

Still have to untangle the cord, plug them in, noisier than hell, and you have to push them back and forth and empty the bag or whatever. He told me about that trick where with his old vacuum and a nozzle to clean a small area, then the guy put a white cloth over his and goes over the same area where the cloth turns gray. Said they pulled that on me, embarrassed the hell out of my wife, asked for a clean piece of cloth from the guy with my old cheap vacuum, went over the same area and it also turned gray. Embarrassed the hell out of the salesguy.

We live in a dirty world.

... to get back on topic, yes, I like Avon. I rarely use make-up so can't say anything about that, but their bath bubble and oil stuff is lovely, and a good price for what you get. I don't buy from door-to-door sales people on principle though- back in Ireland one of my employees used to sell it and she'd bring in a brochure she'd leave in the break room and we'd approach her if we wanted to buy something. I liked that no-pressure approach.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

SSS bug repellent is good and DEET free.

Not keen on anything else I've tried from them.
