Crazy as it sounds... part of me would like to get the same CO. I WILL be at the next interview and I would love to show her that we ARE a real couple just trying to get thru this difficult journey!

And I have read of others who went thru without problems after a bad K1 experience, but I am still praying for the best but expecting the worst. I guess its all I can do for now.

But the more I read, the more I think we better do the CR1. But I'm still confused!

Guess I will send the I129F when I get the NOA1 from the 130 and take it all from there.

The longer the process takes, the more I can visit, and hopefully that will help too! Already planning to come back in February or March!

Thats an awesome attitude to take on Ally. It will help you make it through this.

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Will there be pics of the family to show the CO? You showing up at the interview is fine but that alone may not be convincing enough. Esp since they don't sit you both down in a room and observe. He still will be interviewed alone. If it's anything like Egypt they do it through a bank teller type window and the CO is behind glass.

My friend just went to her fiance's interview. She was with him the entire time and even told me that she did most of the talking! It must be different here in Jordan.

Still haven't taken pics with the family, but it's coming. But you know... my friend was never asked for ANY pics. Guess it depends on who does the interview. And I know someone else who had no pics with the family, and only 3 or 4 of the 2 of them, and they got thru here (Jordan) too with no problems. The whole thing can be so stressful!

I know we will be looked at sooo closely. So we have taken pics every day of everything... laundry, cooking, dishes, you name it! And I scrapbook, so I will fix them something extra special! LOL!

I don't recall Egypt letting anyones' spouse come and stand at the window. Wonder if any of our Jordan gals can say if they've been able to "attend" an interview. I suppose the husband could mention the wife is there with him. I have heard of them looking at the wife's passport to prove that she is there with him. Still, would that disprove a prior accusation of fraud? IDK. I think the CO's know that getting married fraudulently is just as easy as being engaged fraudulently.

Thats good news that they let the USC attend the actual interview in Amman. I had a friend at another consul where she actually did most of the talking too  who;s being interviewed here?! :P

You guys have a lot of time to prepare everything this time around... Good Luck! :)

I think it depends more on the case itself too.

I'll tell you that they are very superficial(which you found out :( ) also and if the couple is there together and look "matched", I can see why they wouldnt ask for pics or much evidence. I saw your new pics and you guys do look very happy together btw

I know one lady whos husband had an interview in Amman and the CO made some comment basically like "oh i see, why you would marry her" (she is very pretty) and the interview was short and sweet..visa issued within a week.

For a SPOUSAL visa, they will expect wedding party pics. K1's are a little different. They know there wont be any "party" pics with the family at that point....just speculating the reason here.

whatever the case is Ally, it is what it is...you do the best you can with what you have and pray

This thread will be here during the wait :)

ok, its 5! see ya guys later :D

It's been hard to do much "tourist" stuff with Mo working 6 days a week, but we got lucky Saturday. It was his birthday and they had the marathon in downtown Amman. We had a great time and it was a good chance to get pics with things going on around us that only happen once! This hasn't exactly been a vacation, but we are enjoying it and taking pics any time we go out!

I think a lot depends on the consulate. I was at my husbands final interview, but they wouldn't let me in. He took in the plane ticket to prove I was there, but they didn't ask for anything but updated forms on that interview. I am pretty sure that we had addressed their concerns with our rebuttal, and the interview was a mere formality.

As for whether or not it is a good idea to be there, I am tossed up on that. If you can be in the country on a visit at the time of the interview that would be in your best interest. But to be available for questions.....not sure. What if they were to separate you in different rooms and ask trick questions, and you had a different answer than your husband? Instant denial again! Sometimes it is best if they can only ask one. They can be tricky like that, and keep in mind, there job is to prove that your marriage is fraud, not that it is valid.

As for your friends that they didn't show many pics, that could merely be that they didn't have any red flags. But you on the other hand already have one that caused a denial. They aren't going to be as easy on you as they would on a couple that have a straight forward relationship.

As for the scrap booking. Keep in mind that everything you submit will have to fit under one of those windows. It had better be able to bend. I am assuming that your consulate is the same as the others I have heard about.

No tourist stuff? Can't he take a little time off to spend with you? I would be royally pizzed if I didn't get to see the sites when my husband and I were in Morocco. We went tons of places.

Funny you bring that up. I seem to recall someone asking not to long ago about the measurments of the dividing window in Morocco to pass along the required paperwork to the interviewing officer.
