Hi! I would like to get in on this as I begin the waiting once again!

I am in Jordan right now. We just married Oct 6 and sent the I130 back to the US yesterday.

After the bad K1 interview in Sept, I could use a good support system as the waiting starts again!

SO... any rules or anything for joining in?

Hi ally and moh...welcome. You guys married the same month my husband and I did in Jordan! Where are you in Jordan? Ask me anything as my husband just arrived from Jordan about 3 months ago. I know the name of a really good immigration attorney in Amman that could help you out if you need it (he speaks pretty good English too). Our process for CR1 went rather quickly (according to lots of other timelines). We are here for support when you need it!.

We are in Amman. That attorney may not be a bad idea after the K1 was called a sham and sent back to the states. I did as uscis told me to do when I called and sent them a letter to withdraw the K1 before I came here to get married. I just hope they did their job and I don't have any problems with the new petition. I sent copies of the letter with the I130, so I pray they do what they need to do now!

Welcome Ally!

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Good morning waiting club and support group!

Olivia nice to hear from you. The email sounds promising, does that mean that Waleed's out of AP?

Amanda thanks for the prayers, girlfriend and the photography things sounds like fun! Like Lisa, I'm a fan for sure! Maybe I should change my screen name to 100% Gharam Photography Fan?? :P

Welcome Ally. Lisa, Beth, Aya, Kenza and of course everyone else just wanted to give a shout out!

I feel a little better then yesterday. So glad that it stopped snowing but I must admit, it was beautiful. Wait, did I just say that outloud?

Oh and AF decided to pay a visit yesterday, makes sense why I was overly emotional last week. And speaking of emotions this is the fifth week and still no interview as of yet. I know in the end this will just make me (and Ahmed) stronger, but wallahi this test is so draining. Allah, subhanahu wa taala, must have a lot of faith in me, alhamdulillah.

Anyhow, thanks for the info on the the social security. I thought he would have it for life once it was given to him but Ahmed kept asking "would if" they give him a new one when he gets here. Next time I will tell him, I KNOW what I'm talking about, and won't listen to him :bonk:

Awww thanks Terrie. I really appreciate it. It is something that I've loved to do since I got my very first camera when I was in like the 5th grade! I have been snapping ever since. After my great grandmother passed away a few years ago, everyone realized that the picture snapping was an inherited trait...my grandmother found boxes upon boxes of pictures my great grandmother had taken over her 80-some years of life! I really hope I can get to where I can do it full time one day...until then...I'll keep on snapping on the side. :)

I'm not sure it means he is out of AP or not. We were told there would be no AP then there was AP then there was final Administrative Review then there was a second AP and now they say he's out of AP but in final Administrative Review again and they're asking for his passport which he's left with them since the interview. So we've had the merry go round these last eight weeks. Come to find out the last time he saw his passport was when he gave it to the Egyptian woman who first tried to ask him questions like they were having an interview and they had an exchange some of you may recall. This is also the same woman who asked for his passport size photos and he said she should have them and she told him she didn't get them but upon checking the file more she found them. Me thinks I better get the Congressman or Senator involved just incase. I don't want this merry go round mess to go on like this much further. They still didn't tell me they found his passport either. :(

He had words with DHL the other day too because of all the updates and asking where his passport was then. They said it was too complicated to explain and I think he was just frustrated about the idea his passport is lost. DHL updated again today so make that seven updates saying the same thing each time "scheduled for delivery as agreed".
