enrptured, I know what you mean. This is going to sound so selfish of me, but in a way, I wish my hubby would interview in Algeria, out of all the embassy review I read on Algiers embassy, I read only 1 AP. To me it truly cuts our chances of AP there instead of interviewing in France, now its all I think about is AP after interview. I hate this process, its changed me from a happy go lucky girl, where nothing bothered me, into a person who cries alot in private. That is not me.

Truly happy!!!

Hi everyone....am new here and thought i'd join in on the waiting...we are in the last (hopefully) stages..i should be getting my husbands 230 by mail tomorrow so i can go over it and make sure we have everything we need...we're hoping for a mid-Nov. interview so he can be here for Thanksgiving...some of the consulate reviews about Casa make me a little nervous though..lol...can anyone offer advice about what to expect at the interview?...we have lots of evidence about our relationship...but i am still a little worried about them placing us in AP or possible second interview after some of the reviews i have read....

Hey Mo! Long time...hope everything is going well with you.

Hi Lisa, Jackie, Sharifah, Beth, Kenza...sorry if I forgot anyone! I've been super busy lately. Saturday I had a wedding photography gig and I was on my feet for 8 hours straight! It was fun though. Sunday I had a family reunion to go to...so I am a bit tired this morning. Next weekend we are going to the state fair and Sunday is my daughter's birthday party...so another busy weekend!

But the thing that is on my mind this morning is the fact that at this time one year ago I was in the Raleigh airport waiting on my flight to New York and then from there to Jordan....next Monday is our 1 year anniversary! We were talking about it last night and it is just so crazy to think that when I got back from Jordan and the whole visa process--seemed like it was taking forever, but now that he is here it seems like it went so quickly. So I just want to take a moment to thank God for His blessings and for bringing my husband and I together and definitely for blessing us with a rather smooth and quick visa journey (although it isn't completely over yet). I pray that God blesses each and every one of you who are still waiting...that He brings you peace and hope. For those that have your SO with you now, I pray that God blesses you with eternal happiness and a wonderful life together.

Love you ladies...have a great week!

Amanda

wow Amanda thats great, early congrats on the anniversary!

It is funny how the waiting just goes far away from memory once they get here.... i couldnt beleive it really. We spent 15 months apart, celebrated our 1 yr anniversary apart and once he got here, that all just melted away. Now, it just feels like we've been living together the whole time, if that makes sense.....

Happy Anniversary Amanda!!!

Yes, in a way the journey does go fast, we've come so far this go round, looking forward to finishing all of it. Need to email embassy again to see if chance for earlier interview, they said mid October they will be able to tell me if possible, well this week is mid October. **sigh** just want a life together, no more BS, and obstacles, and waiting, planning the "What If's" like all that is going on in my head today. Im sorry, Im venting, keep it bottled up for so long and then boom, all pours out.

Do you have big plans for anniversary Amanda???

Truly happy!!!

Thanks Ladies!

Beth...no we don't really have any plans yet...we may wait until the weekend after and maybe go and have a nice dinner or something since this weekend we are going to the state fair and having my daughter's birthday party. I really do want to take a moment and spend at least a nice afternoon/night with him. :)

Hey Everyone!

Big mabrook to you Amanda!! One year! That's awesome! Glad in hindsite, things seemed like they went quickly. InshaAllah, may it be that way for all of us still awaiting.

Beth, give it to God, girlfriend! Give it to God. That's what I do....although we can still vent, right?

*waves hey to everyone with a frown on my face*

Speaking of venting......I'm in a stink mood today. It's snowing! I mean c'mon, it's not even the middle of October yet, sheesh! Minnesota sucks! In addition to that U.S. Embassy in Cairo was closed yesterday for Columbus Day and NOW the NVC is closed TODAY for the same! So Cairo and New Hampshire suck too!

*screams (in my head) AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!*

Okay, I feel better now. Quick question, I know I read this somewhere on VJ and I'm to lazy to go searching for it but does anyone know about adding a spouse to their insurance? We are currently having open enrollment through my job, so I think I should add him now. The only reason I am unsure is because I'm so worried he won't be here until like Febuary or March due to STUPID AZZ AP. Anyone know, if I can add him when he gets here?

Shar, the insurance companies usually require a Social Security number on the addie, I tried to put hubby on my medical, no go on that. Funny I added him to checking account, but cant on medical, huh? Its a hit and miss thing anymore.

For give it to God to handle, I try, but I cant let go, I cant. Its taken its toll on me, mentally and now physically.

It will be a miracle if I come out sain when all said and done with.
