My wife going to IR-1 visa interview next month at USA Embassy Islamabad, Pakistan. I am USA citizen but working & living in Islamabad, Pakistan for last 4 years, along with my wife and 2 kids.

I understand I do not have to go to IR-1 visa interview with my wife as it is not mandatory.

Is it going to make any positive or negative impression on CO or her visa interview outcome if I decided not to go with her, as I need to take care of my 2 kids at home?

Thanks

One more piece of info is that I do meet USA domicile retirements, as I still have bank accounts in USA, USA address, filling USA tax returns regularly. I am the only sponsor on my wife Affidavit of support I-864 and meet the requirements by using USA saving accounts, I-864 already got approved.

My USC husband also stayed home to look after our twins when I went to my interview, and it got approved no problem. As long as you have plenty of proof of bonafide marriage, she'll be fine. Good luck!

My husband left Japan a month before my interview and consequently I went to the interview just by myself.

I got approved without problem.
