After several conflicting stories from USCIS (The card was never ordered, or it was, but was lost in the mail,or it wasn't - but will be now) depending on who we talked to, the production email finally arrived today. I called my Congressman, and the aide called the service center with the conflicting stories. The email arrived hours later. Word to the wise - the card production is supposed to be ordered automatically after approval, but sometimes isn't.

Nothing like a little congressional "nudge" on USCIS behind....I wonder if the Congressman's aide told the USCIS rep. "you're going to feel a little pressure" before putting on the rubber gloves :bonk::rofl:

CONGRATULATIONS Brad & Vika !!!!!!

We are certainly very happy for you..

Sounds like a cause to break out some stinky fish and celebrate!!!!!!!! Congratulations Brad and Vika.

OMG, Alla found some stinky, uncleaned fish at the "Russian Store" last night and brought that thing home and said "Clean this please, I am hungry" :hehe: (contradiction of terms, I know) I say we make a pact that they have to gut their OWN stinky fish!!!!!!! C'mon up to Vermont and we will exercise that green card going to Montreal!

Congratulations Vika and Brad,

Now you can travel without restrictions. You will be surprised at how fast the two year period goes, so check on the next step and slowly start your preparations. The next step is much easier, but still expensive.

Thanks all, we are holding the celebration until the GC actually arrives, but the email was a relief! Vika has taken to eating the salty fish outside (small favors, right?), but we are definitely looking forward to the next 18 months or so without the USCIS filing monkey on our backs.

Congrats Brad! We're (hopefully) not far behind.

I think we just had some bad luck. Everthing was (relatively) ok until that last little bit ;)

Oh, got ours today! (yesterday actually, I didn't check the mail until today)

Good deal! How many days (if any) between the production email and the card delivery?

Done for now.

It took the card about three weeks to arrive here.
