Well he did make legitimate points.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

You are right Hermano Pizza Dude, this argument has no basis in the fundamental logic of argumentation. It is equivalent to the 'Nah Nah Boo Boo, I'm gonna get you' argument of the preschool playground.

Yet I will admit, this 'talking head' is quite a cheerleader!

Don't you know better than to post Olbermann?

I'd bet you a weeks pay that Wilson shouting out "You Lie!" is no accident at all. He might have even had some help with the idea.

The right needed a new boogey-man for the health care debate. The 'death panels', the 'drain on medicare' and the straw-man analogies to Canadian and British health care were losing their steam.

Time to dredge up the scary immigrants and make THAT the new focus. What a fabulous idea for the right! There was no hotter argument before the election! Mix immigrants and health care together and BAM you've got an intoxicating double-whammy!

ActBlue raises over $750,000 for Joe Wilson's opponent

Posted: September 11th, 2009 04:20 PM ET

From CNN Audience Interaction Producer Eric Kuhn

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Online fundraising site ActBlue announced Friday that since Republican congressman Joe Wilson's outburst during President Obama's address, his Democratic opponent Rob Miller has raised over $787,951 (and rising) on the site. The first donation came in at 9:15 p.m. ET on September 9.

ActBlue Deputy Communications Director Adrian Arroyo told CNN that the donations have come in from over 21,622 people since Wednesday night's speech, a major jump from the 5,000 who had contributed as of yesterday. Arroyo admits that since the fundraising push is viral, "there is no one place to locate what is going on. You have DailyKos, Twitter and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee circling these issues. There is no one prime mover." The mean contribution size is $36.

Two links leading back to ActBlue's donation pages have been clicked on over 9,500 times, said the group. Two days after the speech, Joe Wilson is still the top trending topic on Twitter — and ActBlue has benefited greatly, with more than 1,000 tweets about their fundraising efforts for the congressman's opponent.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I thought his "outburst" was kinda funny, hard not to appreciate when someone throws a touch of anarchy into the mix, but Wilson seems a little out there.

Saw an old interview clip where he accused a guy he was debating with of being unamerican. He's a tool. Another one of those guys who uses soundbites in lieu of argument.

An unintended consequence of getting your news from the liberal press is that you only get what they want you to know. Joe Wilson has raised about the same amount of money since Obama's speech from his supporters, as has his opponent. But, why would they tell you that? They want you to get the impression that this has hurt Joe Wilson and helped the Democrats, when that's not the truth at all.

I'm sure this wasn't one of the expected consequences of that infamous shouted comment:

Ahem...........I had heard of both. I think I even read of Wilson's warchest on CNN.

Please don't assume that people don't know both sides of the 'coin'.

I guess if you don't want to hear, or can't comprehend that, "The bill clearly states that illegal immigrants will not be covered" then it does sound like Nah Nah Boo Boo...to a right wing nut or a 3rd grader.

Most of the coverage was on Wilson's two words instead of Obama's speech. Nobody was really listening to Obama's 27th speech on healthcare expecting to hear anything new.

Wilson is the newest boogeyman for the Democrats to blame for not passing healthcare.

Wake up...both parties screw us. Both parties blame each other for screwing us. Both parties continue to screw us. If you prefer to be screwed by Republican dicks, just say so. Both parties have already decided the outcome on healthcare. The debates and speeches are just to make you think about how much worse you're going to get screwed if your team loses...that way, you don't have time to complain about the current screwing. In the end, the Dems will get what they want, the Reps will get what they want. The insurance companies will get what they want. They'll all complain about it, so you don't know that it was all another plan to screw you. Wake up.
