Happy Valentine's Day, y'all!

May you have at least one person in your life to show how much you

love today! And I know we all doooooooo. Even if he/she is far away

from you, you can still find some way today to share your love!

I have raised my kids that this isn't only a day for lovers but

rather a day to show EVERYONE that you love just how much you do.

Don't laugh but I've told Rick that this year I don't want

chocolates....we were in Giant foods last Friday and picked up some

of their buffalo wings for lunch, and they taste VERY close to my

fav wings that I get in Montreal! I was thrilled!!! So guess what I

told Rick I want instead of chocolates today? hehehe Yup....wings.

Tho he doesn't have to give me anything because he went and bought

us an expensive living room set last week ( that was SUPPOSED to be

here now but isn't cuz of all the snow *grumble grumble*) so I told

him that was my present.

And do you know what I went and did, peeps? Ohhhhhh you're gonna

love this one! Remember I told you that Rick and I did our groceries

last Friday instead of our regular Saturday because Rick was going

to have to work? Well we ONLY got the groceries, we didn't do our

regular run of K-Mart and the dollar store and some window shopping.

I was thinking about painting the living room and what I'd need in

the way of materials at K-Mart and in my rush to get back home, I

wasn't thinking ahead to this week and forgot all about it being

Valentine's Day today! This, depite the fact that I was completely

SURROUNDED by all kinds of Valentine's Day stuff in the store!

Soooooooo I didn't pick anything up for Alli or Rick! Yeeeeesh! It's

the very first time in my entire life that I have done something

like this! Damn menopause....the memory's been really bad lately. :-

( Well, I DO have a cake mix that I picked up 2 weeks ago...a red

velvet with Valentine frosting that's pink with red candy hearts in

it....And I do have the makings for peanut butter cookies and I have

a heart-shaped cookie cutter....I suppose the cake and heart cookies

would do in a pinch, whaddaya think? Think I can get away with it?

I'll tell them that I didn't get chocolate because it's bad for

them,...yeah yeah that's it! Then again, cake and cookies isn't

really good for them either, are they? But they have EGGS and MILK

in them at least! Yup!....I think I got it covered...I hope

Sounds good to me Sharon :thumbs: Everone loves cake and cookies and you are giving it a valentines theme afterall. They wont be any the wiser I dont think ;) Good save I reckon.

It was Valentines Day here yesterday and I was miserable all day lol oh well........next year. Its just not the same when apart.

Well the red velvet cake is in the oven as I type. But hell man....lol...I was looking at the can of frosting I'd bought and noticed I'd picked up CREAM CHEESE FROSTING! Damn....that's ok for carrot cake hehe but not red velvet. :hehe: Sooo I'll have to make do with a home-made frosting I guess, which I'm not very good at. :unsure: I'll do the cookies this aft. I'll even take pics! hahaha :D

Oh! I forgot to tell you's!

There was an E-card from my oldest daughter Fawn in my email this

morning. It was cute, a little bear holding a heart, music playing etc

etc and Fawn had added her own little verse...lol. It went as follows:

Woulda sent you flowers, but I didn't have the cash.

And if you were in town, I would've thrown you quite a bash.

But you are far away and I am really very broke,

So instead you get an ecard and a strange poetic joke.

Hehehe cute!

June 25, 2004 - Bruce & I met through mutual friends in my hometown in Newfoundland the night before he was going back to Maine

July 1 - First email between us

July 3 - I called him to wish him a Happy Independance Day

Daily phone calls and emails from there on in

October 20 - Bruce drove back to Newfoundland. He planned on staying a week but it ended up being 3 weeks. We knew for a fact we were in love!

March 19/05 - Bruce back in Newfoundland

April 8 - Bruce picked me up in North Sydney, NS and we drove to Maine. I stayed for a week due to work

July 26 - Bruce back to Newfoundland for another 3 weeks. I can't bear to see him leave.

August 10 - He asked me to marry him.........I had already asked him anyway just to make sure*_*

September 30 - I flew to Boston to meet Bruce there and then we drove back to Maine for 2 weeks

November 18 - We filed I-129F

December 1 - NOA Receipt #

December 28 - Received Packet 3

January 6/06 - Received my Police Certificate of Conduct

January 11 - Sent DS-230 Part 1 back to Montreal Consulate

February 3 - Sent off my check list to Montreal Consulate

March 24 - Medical

April 5 - Interview Date.....APPROVED......Yahoo

April 17 - Moving to Maine

May 16 - Bruce & I became Mr. & Mrs. in Las Vegas (Oh HAPPY DAY)

Happy V Day!!!!

The Husband was a naughty chap this morning and gave me last years Valentines card. He waited for me to open it and for my quizzical expression and then giggled and said 'gotcha! You can have this years one later!' and ran off. Silly man.

I'm at work now, we're having a Valentine's day pot luck, so I brought in a whole load of Dunkin Donuts in a variety of yucky V-Day flavors/colors/goo. I've also convinced my boss that she should make a V-Day card for her husband, so she is now glu-sticking and looking very daft with bits of red paper everywhere. Oh the things I do to amuse myself.

This evening the request has been for Macaroni Cheese. And steak. And champagne. Needless to say I am going to be knee deep in macaroni by 6pm.

But just after I got the V-card, the doorbell rang and I got the most beautiful red roses with a card that says 'To the Love of My Life' (that's how I introduce him to my friends :yes: ) I just love him to pieces, not because it's Valentines' day, just because he is so thoughtful and loving every day...........sssssssssiiiiiiigggggghhhhhhhh!!
