hi all, its me again...i know i have been already asked a lot of questions in here and many of you my fellow vj'rs helped me a lot with all your informative replies and i really really appreciate it...thank you all very much! :star: ...for the last time around, i will be flying on tuesday, the 15th and i would like to ask if any one here from the philippines flew on to the US via jal and american airlines...i'd just like to know if how many kilos/pounds are allowed for a hand-carry bag and how many kilos/pounds for the baggage? i was also wondering if how much im gonna pay for the excess if in case...

another q, there is an annotation** in my visa and immigrant data summary that says: 212(g)(2)(B) class A or B (TB) Req. of USPHS at POE, i guess i know what it means. im just curious if all applicants that undergone the sputum/culture test and passed at st. lukes has the same thing?

any response would be greatly appreciated... :star:

thank you tons in advance... :star:

Check the website of your carrier, they have it there the rulings about baggage limit. Or you can call there local office in Manila.

For your annotation, it's normal for those undergo sputum culture. Hmmmmm... should be... when you get in your POE, they will give you.. yellow paper indicating to go to the local public health for tuberculin test. Then, you will be fine because CDC might still ask you to have tuberculin test.

For my case, within a week I got in here, I have my tuberculin test. It's negative so I didn't have to go chest x-ray. The public health even told me that I am too early for the test because CDC isn't yet sending my papers to them. I said, it's better early than get delay for my AOS, plus I was told by the immigration officer at my POE to see public health within a week of my entry.

JAL - AA ... I flew 8/23. 2 - checked bags 23 kg (50lbs). 1 - carry on 18kg (40 lbs) I used a 22" rollerboard... and, you may also carry on a purse or personal item... (My personal item was a backpack - laptop bag)..

Not sure about excess baggage charges.

note that past experience with luggage allowances may be obsolete as soon as 24 hours after the plane lands. always check the airline website.
