Hell yeah...I agree....and I agree that if they find a trail of improprieties ACORN should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I'm not defending ACORN either...I'm saying the video at question is...questionable. Maybe it's just because I know more about audio/video editing than most people on this list, or maybe I'm just more cynical.

Would you be against an investigation of the people who made the film, and if after seeing the entire film find that it doesn't show the true nature of the events should they and all those who belong to their local interest parties be heavily investigated.

Edited or not it is hard to justify your thoughts that they manipulated the film/tape to fit their needs, the scenarios and questions asked could have been totally different from anything in the tape...BUT the responses by the workers "don't tell the cops" "don't tell the IRS" "hide it from the government" "pimp those ho's" etc....basically says one thing...These people don't care what America is about and the company they work for does not either. The company they represent obviously does not spend much time on training or is REALLY not interested in what is represented by their employees. Perhaps you have no comprehension as to the difference between and edited video and a non-edited video. If that's the case, then you should confine yourself to speaking on things you actually know about. If that's not the case, and you do know the difference between an edited video and can't see that it's been EDITED, then you're simply incompetent. If you were truly concerned about your tax dollars, then you too would want to know the extent of editing done by the filmmakers and how their malicious intent may have colored this entire fiasco. The filmmakers are akin to vigilantes. They are not the police or the government. They are not above suspicion, and they too are accountable for their actions. I'm all for getting the bad guy, but unlike many...I'm interested in getting all of them, not just the ones that neatly fit into a political, financial or race agenda.

doubting the vids but acorn canned the folks in baltimore so guess the vids were good enough for acorn HQ.

bottom line is TRAINING and ETHICS. ETHICS start at the top and stream down to the troops, if the troops on the front line have little respect for the top based on the top's actions, they acted accordingly. The troops, who are on the inside, probably see plenty of examples of unethical behavior at the top and so feel comfortable with their own unethical behavior.

ACORN HQ is responsible. the actions of the baltimore office are probably extreme... other offices are probably a lot more respectful of the law but given the actions of the baltimore office, i wonder to what degree? this is the scary part.

The same two people pulled off the same scenario at the Washington DC office and had the same result. ACORN had to fire another two people the next day. Duh any film generally has an amount of editing, the part of the sentence YOU JUMP AROUND is "to fit their needs" but its as usual pull the meaning you want instead of the actual meaning.

While I do have a problem with over-editing to show only viewpoints trying to be made by the individuals doing the filming, in this particular case it would be hard to believe that they had to do much with the way these individuals were talking about breaking laws from every spectrum. They were idiots in the highest sense of the word, it was obvious listening to some of their responses...um lets see you make $8000 a month thats $9600 a year as an example.
