Hi. I need some help here.

My lawyer called my fiancée and said he´s got the RFE./

He also said he´s sending her by email so she can print it and send it to VSC.

Is that possible? Never heard of it before.

What should we do?

I doubt it, because you need the cover sheet which has a barcode & your info on it. Just my 2 cents tho.

I wouldn't do it because I'm ####### and want to do things super much correctly. If they've sent paper, I'd get the same one fill out and send it back. I don't know if it would hurt have a scanned copy sent back. Seems a bit strange... how long would it take for him to mail her the RFE?

But the important thing here is: you got the RFE!!! Yay! I'll update our chart. Did she get it today?

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

rlt - you don't want any more problems or delays. Have your fiance call the lawyer and tell him to overnight the original - you have to send back the original form. (If email copies were ok, USCIS would have sent them to us that way and saved us a lot of trouble!!!)

Your lawyer probably has a digital sender which can translate any document into a PDF which can then be sent via e-mail. It is very safe and the barcode will look exactly like the original.

Our lawyer sent the original to my SO to fill out and return to her and she remitted it to VSC. Good luck if you can do it by email, but like the others before I would ask for the original and remit that one.

I know with California it says to return the BLUE cover sheet with it so you wouldn't be able to just email it and print it out. I am not sure if Vermont's is different.

Thanks a lot to all of you.

My fiancée double checked with the lawyer and he said she would be fine with the copy. Everything would work out as long as she signes it.

So she stopped Fedex to send it and is going to the lawyer´s office now.

So what exactly is the RFE?

Is it a 3 page document and a blue sheet?

Just wanna make sure and call her so she can check.
