You did not just ask me a question you were making a false claim against my religion and being a smartbutt about it. You could have asked me what they get and I would have given you my opinion but that's not what you did.

That's not how I read it. You mean't it in a clearly snide, sarcastic and disparaging way that was far from a serious question about the tenets or relative virtues of the Islamic religion.

now why did you come up with that analogy? asking her about her religion is being compared to someone wiping their butt. it is not what i'd call a good choice for an analogy!

Seems like an honest question to me, unless there's something hidden underneath that isn't there in the words he posted....in any case, I don't think such language is needed, and personal attacks even more so.

Let me ask this: is the Quran the sole authoritative source of Muslim beliefs? That seems to be what you are implying. If it is, then any doctrinal statement that doesn't come from the Quran should be immediately rejected as not being true Islam. Am I correct in this? If not, and there are sources of truth in addition to the Quran, then those sources need also be brought into any discussion of Muslim beliefs.

Nothing wrong with my empathy, I'm not the one who constantly attacks something they don't understand and have no desire to find out about. The comparison is simply relative anyway. You want to post an opinion about a political topic that includes a discussion about aspects of the islamic faith - yet rather than take it seriously you trot out an offensive stereotype lifted right out of the canon of Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly. And then have the gall to pretend that its a serious question, give me a break.

Your colors are on display for all to see. How's about digging yourself out that nice little hole you've dug for yourself?

Terrorism is rooted in intolerance. Intolerance is rooted in an inability to show empathy towards others.

First of all, the Quran does not mention anywhere that anyone will get 72 virgins in heaven. This is something that has been made up. It talks about having wives in heaven but there is no number and it has nothing to do with blowing yourself up to have that. I don't even think those people in that sect believe that.

Secondly, Islam forbids two major acts that all those suicide bombers forget about.... to kill an innocent person.. in fact, the Quran says if you kill ONE innocent person it's as if you've killed all of mankind... and to kill yourself...

They will be punished for those acts, not rewarded.

They also are not following the way of our prophet by doing that and that's another huge problem. The prophet forbade killing innocent women, children, animals and even vegetation in war so they should ask themselves if they are following his instructions and example. He aslo never taught to kill any person just because of their religion so they are wrong in that.

I still encourage you to read the Quran and learn about the religion

No it is not the only thing. There are also ahadeeth (sayings and actions of the prophet) and there is nothing in any authentic hadeeth to allow what those terrorists do either.
