Hi and welcome kizza,

I went and looked at it, since you mentioned that it didn't say you needed 4

When I filled out that form it was actually 4 identical pages and as you filled out the top page it automatically filled in the other 3 as well. So I guess they changed it. However it does say on the info page that it is '4 pages'.

oh shoot. i only signed once and xerox it 3 other times. so i guess they will RFE for that?

Maybe not. If they do, they do. Nothing you can do about it when you ask your questions AFTER you send it. An RFE, even for something like this, can add many weeks to the process, it is best to take a few days extra up front and be sure. Something to keep in mind as the I-129f is just the beginning of the process and you still have to go through the interview and AOS process.

If you go to a local office and pick up an "official" G-325a, you will see it is a four part form (though there have been some recent changes I understand, but that is how it was) and you sign it ONCE and the signature copies through to the other pages. So the other signatures are "copies" anyway. It depends on the adjudicator that handles your case, but it is best not to leave those things "dangling" and give four original signatures if you use the downloaded form. All you can do now is wait and see.

I was observing on those four pages for the G325a that on the bottom left hand corner there are different numbers and abbreviations on each page... so I'm assuming that these 4 pages go to different departments and/or are used for different purposed within the USCIS... that's the only thing different that I saw... that's what really made me think that I had to sign each one of them separately and send them all together...... hope this helps.

HE made this happen... To God be all glory! :)

10/16/09 - RFE notice date.

I'm in the middle of this same nightmare right now.

First of all, if you haven't downloaded the form since 6/12/2009 -- then you were using the old form. The USCIS website says that the old form is still currently being accepted. Please don't confuse the discussion further by mentioning how there's 4 pages for you, etc!

Because, if you navigate to the website and look at the current form available for download, it's only 1 page, and it doesn't have the little routing/codes at the bottom that the prior one did:

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/g-325a.pdf

The instructions make no mention of the fact that you're supposed to include four copies. The only hint to that fact is that the page describing the G-325A says there's 4 pages:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

I've been wondering whether to send four copies, one copy, or what. So far, here is the results from my inquiries online:

1) Asked my attorney -- says since they reduced it to 1 page, and the other 3 pages were just copies anyway, can just send 1 (probably)

2) Looked on VisaJourney -- website claims to send 4, claims to be checking into the matter with USCIS -- unverified, just guesswork as best as I can tell

3) Called USCIS a week ago and asked them Attempt #1 -- guy said that if the instructions didn't say to make 4 copies, can just send one

4) Called USCIS today -- another guy said that even though there's only 1 page in the PDF, it's supposed to (magically?) print out four copies with some different text at the bottom when you print it. As far as I know, that's totally and technically impossible. But I could be wrong. He went on further to claim that sending in the same page, copied 4 times, would be incorrect. (this also seems totally unlikely)

So in summary, my experience is that nobody freaking knows what you're supposed to do, and it depends on who you ask, or where you look! How much more opaque could this process be?

Probably, but he has no friggin' idea  maybe he should find out since HE'S BEING PAID BY YOU!!!

2) Looked on VisaJourney -- website claims to send 4, claims to be checking into the matter with USCIS -- unverified, just guesswork as best as I can tell

Not really sure because as you can see the answers you received in #3 & #4 below from the source are different per each call and I would say you could call 6 times and get different answers each time...Now this site has 1000's of people who have been through the process successfully and tell you to Cover YOur Azz by sending in 4 JUST IN CASE because they know what has and will happen...OH AND THIS IS FREE INFORMATION AND IT'S BETTER THAN THE LAWYERS

3) Called USCIS a week ago and asked them Attempt #1 -- guy said that if the instructions didn't say to make 4 copies, can just send one

This guy doesn't know the answer or he wouldn't have said "if the instructions didn't say...." so, he's a guesser.

Another guy who has no clue...just guessing...

My suggestion is in agreement with VJ because they got me to the AOS stage so far...OR get someone to send you a copy of the old .pdf file and use it...website says you can use old versions...

Why? why? why? do people even take chances?

1 copy possible RFE

4 copies not possible RFE.

Why take a chance? What benefit will it serve to just do 1? Really is the 30 seconds it takes to print off 3 more copies and put a signature on them worth a chance at weeks of delays?

As the old guy in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade said, "Choose Wisely"

TOTALLY agree!!! Just send FOUR copies, all with 'original' signatures.

The worst that'll happen in that case is that they chuck 3 in the bin.

I have nothing to add kizza other than to welcome you to VJ and ask that you also check out the Canada forum while you're here! As well, there is helpful links and a VJ Wiki page as well that are unique to Canada that will be helpful to you.

Yeah, I'm going to send four, just to be safe. It just seems silly that this confusion isn't accounted for in the form instructions.

On a related note, do you have to send in just one (per person) passport photo, or do you need a photo to accompany each of the form copies (for a total of 4 per person)?
