G-325a Address Question

Finally everything is squared away and am getting ready to send in my fiance petition (I think my last topic was 6 months ago when I thought I would be sending it in the next month or two) but I have a question on how to handle my time in college. Right now the last year of the 5-year window for previous addresses intersects with my last year in college - do I use my parent's address for that time (which was my official address and what was on my driver's license at the time) or do I use the apartment I lived at during that time? I know for background checks associated with security clearances they want everywhere you lived no matter how short the time, is that true for this as well?

I'm guessing I should include my college address, but just want to check here first and see if anybody knows for certain. I did a search of the topics and nothing came up relating to this. Thanks.

I used my college address for the time that I was in college because I had bank statements coming there where I opened up a bank account while in college. When you have official mail and things coming to an address, even if for a short period of time, that address will come up on public records about you. Even if you haven't noticed your college address coming up on any kind of record for you, it's probably safe to go ahead and put it down.

For this I put down my college address followed by my parent's address (for summer / holiday seasons) followed by my next college address and so on. I put an asterisk next to the first entry of my parent's address and at the bottom of the sheet (I typed all of this on an appended sheet) I wrote a note that said something like "permanent residence Aug-87 - present, other addresses on this form temporary for school/work assignments". I hope they understand! Should be okay though.

Our son, K-2 to follow, is a college student in Moscow. His permanent address was in Ukraine, and is now "here" even though he is still a student in Moscow. I did not list his university in Moscow as an address of residence for his AOS G-325a (he did not have a G-325a for the visa as it is not required for a K-2) I listed his address here as his "current address" and his former address in Ukraine as his address prior to that (since his birth) and that is all. That said, adding your college address will not cause any problems but for most people a college is not considered a "permanent residence" His AOS has been approved, we are awaiting his green card to arrive and will bring it to him in Moscow when we visit at New Year's

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll go ahead and add my college address in the list. Based on what I am seeing here it can't hurt to do so.
