Hi everyone. I am looking for some help if someone could please guide me in the right direction.

My husband and I are filing the I-751 tomorrow. I went today to buy a money order for 545.00. The automated machine would only allow me to purchase the first one for 500.00 and then a second one for 45.00. I didn't think that this would be a problem, but when I came home and re-read the instruction sheet, it says to send ONE check or money order. Now I'm worried that they won't be accepted. Does anyone know anything about this?

My husband sent a 1 personal cheque $465 for application I-751 and $80 for biometrics he wrote it down on the cheque. But you should always verify the type of payments your Service Center accepts. If they accept personal checks, this is the preferred method as they can be tracked easily through most banks.

hope it helps!

It would have been "cleaner" to use one money order for $465 and one for $80, even "cleaner" yet to use a personal check with both your names on it (you do have a checking account, don't you?), but in the end it doesn't matter. All they want is your money and they take it any way they can get it. You didn't do anything wrong, and that's what matters most.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
