Im in the US on a K1 Visa, still waiting for my Green Card.

We've just booked a flight to go to Germany in November for a few days. I have the Travel permit, but it says my married name. My passport still says my maiden name.

I read in another post that all I need to take in addition to my passport is my marriage certificate. Is this correct???

I just dont want to find out about trouble when I try to re-enter the US and my names on travel permit and passport dont match.

(my name on the ticket is the same as on my passport, so they will match)

And while Im at at: what are the requirements for me to renew my passport at the German Consulate in my town in the US?

Thanks for your help!!!

Travel document to mean AP - yes, bring a copy of your marriage certificate (and I suggest a copy of your NOA1 for the I-485, just in case). Otherwise you'll be just fine. Have a safe trip.

(FYI - you have 2 AP documents - upon re-entry, the CBP will keep one, stamp the other and give it back to you.)
