I know many people have talked about buying a round trip ticket vs a one way ticket. I just looked at flights and about had a heartattack for the cost when we are hoping that Kathe will be able to come to the US. It is cerca 903$ to fly roundtrip, but to fly from LIM to CLE it is over 1400$ one way!!!!!

Is it possible to buy the round trip tickets and only use the return flight?

I don't know how long you have to buy the ticket, but my suggestion is to check a couple times daily as fairs fluctuate greatly. For instance, I bought my ticket to go to Korea last time for 1250 round trip...there was one day after I bought the ticket that it went to 850. The next day it was 1400.

Keep checking. You could buy the roundtrip ticket and sell back the second leg...my friend did that and ended up only paying 700 for a one-way ticket from S. Korea instead of the normal 1300 he would have paid.
