Hi again, well its the 2nd week of september, im hoping for an interview date this month. i was approved April 22-09, waiting for the GHANA EMBASSY to issue a date. i just dont understand why its taking so long. I followed the timeline of the others ahead of me, and their interviews were within 4months of their NVC approval date.

What should i do , what can i do. NVC says they receive a certain amount of interview dates directly from the embassy and it goes in order of your approval date. so i guess there are people who were NVC approved in Feb/March that are still waiting. i cant tell from looking at the other VJ members timelines.

has anyone else had to wait over 4months for an interview date. what should i do???. thanks for any replies. congratulations to those of you with recent approvals and interview dates. Good Luck.

I basically don't know what's the reason why you don't have your interview date until now. Whew! you got case complete like 5 months ago, how come you haven't received it yet. Per operator, sometimes it make take up to 8 weeks until you get an interview date but its beyond 8 weeks already. Have you checked your email? or speak to an operator?

There must be something wrong. My case got completed a week ago and now I have my interview date. Keep calling NVC or email the supervisor regarding your concern. Goodluck!

Per the "Embassy Info" tab above under "Ghana" it states, Approx Waiting Time for interview date from when the Consulate receives the package from the NVC: 4-6 Months

It actually sounds like this is in regards to the K-1/K-3 and not the I-130. Per the NVC Operator, they don't even forward the I-130 package to the Consulate until an interview date has been assigned. So the frustration with the I-130, is we have to call back on a monthly basis to see if our spouses were scheduled or not. I'm still waiting too for an interview in Ghana too.

All we can do is keep Praying Until Something Happens (PUSH).

UGH!! I'm in the SAME BOAT!! My case was complete at the begining of April, so I'm only a month ahead. Still no interview. I have talked to supervisors at the NVC and asked to be expedited many times, but no answer. I have written about 100 letters to my Senator and started sending weekly faxes....he stopped responding a couple months ago. My husband has a friend who went to the embassy asking about the hold up and they were told that Visa Lottery gets priority (which is so wrong) and that they are finished or just about finished with all the lottery people and are moving onto everyone else. This makes me so mad! I do want to encourage though that as far as I can tell, this is just an Accra issue-not something wrong with your or my case specifically. I cry every month when we hear "no" yet again. And why is it that the people working on visas coming from Ghana never really get any recognition or help? 6 months people! Good luck. If you find out any more info, could you let me know? I'll do the same!

04/03/09- CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!!

Waiting......waiting......waiting!! :(

10/30/09- INTERVIEW NOTIFICATION!!!!!

12/10/09- Interview in ACCRA!

Co-sponsor needed-NVC approved my sponsorship, USEM required more. :( So sad.

12/30/09- Return interview-APPROVED!!!!!!!!!

01/15/10- VISA IN HAND!!!!!
