We are rescheduling my Fiance's interview at the US Embassy in manila as I need to get some more paperwork together and need a little more time. Now I hear she must attend a CFO Seminar after she gets approved at the Embassy. Can someone share this with me? I wasn't aware of this, or the proper procedure. She lives in Cebu, so can she attend this in Cebu City? Thanks

Hello,

It's good that she lives in cebu, there is a CFO office there where she can have her seminar. It is a must for Filipino fiance/spouse to attend the seminar. check their website http://www.cfo.gov.ph/fs_cebu.htm. She must go to SMEF at mango avenue across USC Boys town for her seminar. She must early very because they will just entertain 15 applicants per day. And bring evidences and pertinent papers because they will be asking for it before you can get the certificate. Read the website for more info.

God is always good to us and love us unconditionally.

She can do the seminar before she gets her visa as it takes a few hours. After she gets her visa she can go get the registration sticker.

ginalisa, hi!

still some confusion about the CEBU CFO procedures... hope you will kindly clarify for us, pls

WHICH building is the applicant to report to FIRST (where she will appear @ +/- 6am, to guarantee a decent spot in the line)

the CFO site is VAGUE, at best, and offers misinformation, at worse! :(

we DO understand that the guidance counseling is at St Marys on Rahmann St + Gen. Maxilom Avenue (a.k.a. Mango Ave), and ALSO understand that if a sticker is desired on the same day (not, in our case), that a visit to the DFA is necessary, near the CFO location.

but, some people are saying go to St. Marys FIRST to get onto the security guards wait list, there... while OTHERS are saying to report to the CFO office, first...

can you please briefly explain the REAL procedure of WHERE to report FIRST, so that Mari is not sitting in the dark at 5:30am at the wrong location, waiting for a line that is not even forming :( ?

THANKS in advance

Ron & Mari

Janet is asking me about proff of my singleness, yet here in the US all I had was my tax returns to show and the paperwork filled out for immigration that I have never been married. What would she need to take to this seminar in regards to paperwork regarding this stituation? I kindly asked her to just take all our aperwork she has remaining from the interview to use just in case.
