What documents does the co-sponsor need to submit with I-134? last years tax returns only? or do they have to have bank statements, letter from employer, canceled pay checks etc. Just what is needed from the co-sponsor? Any and all help is greatly appreciated as our time is approaching and want to be as prepared as possible.

Co sponser will need his her 2009 tax return and must show he/she is a US citizen. Read the appropriate form instructions all the info is there...

The US fiance is ALWAYS the primary sponsor, but may have a co-sponsor. If there is a co-sponsor, both the

US fiance and the co-sponsor will EACH have to fill out the affidavit I-134 or I-864 and EACH will have to provide

supporting documentation.

I believe you are talking about 2008 returns. I-864 is not used for K visas in the Philppines

Is co-sponsor allowed in USEM? I've read some posts that the CO doesn't accept co-sponsors? Im confused =(

Having a co sponsor at USEM is on a case by case basis and all up to the CO.

USEM Does accept co/joint- sponsors. However, they should be (if needed) an immediate family member (for example) and not a distant relative or casual friend. It is a common 'myth' that USEM does not accept co-sponsors.

This is part of a letter from USEM (to a VJ member) asking directly about this.:

..we make a thorough evaluation of other factors, such as the sponsor’s motives in submitting the

Form I-134, the sponsor’s relationship to the applicant or petitioner, the length of time the

sponsor and applicant have known each other, etc. An I-134 Affidavit of Support submitted by

a casual friend or distant relative who has little or no personal knowledge of the applicant has

limited value.
