is that going to cause a big problem with our interview? i'm pretty sure we can't change it within this month :( , what else do you guys think we can do?

hi,

wow, i have similar situation your your husband.

i think your husband should just use his BC name for now and then change it later...

thanks ginalisa, thats good advice... but i think its a little late for that. we already have our interview in one month.

also all his other ID such as passport, drivers licence and naturalization papers all are spelled correctly, John.

Hopefully it wont cause a big problem during your interview. The IO might not even notice it (knowing how "unclear" Philippine birth certificates are). In case the see the discrepency, just show them other documents like marriage certificate, ID's, credit cards or even his SSID.

Changing entries on official Philippine documents even just for typo error can take a long time.

ouch!!!

that's not good. Philippine BC's have mistakes almost all the time. I wonder why whats wrong with the people working on them... but anyway, let's just hope and pray that they won't see the difference.. if they will, just show them the other identification cards.. good luck and best wishes.

it took almost a year to correct my name here..

LOL @ visacheck and ginalisa's comments, that is so true about Filipino birth certificates! Very unreliable, thank God i was born in England or else i'd prob have something wrong on my BC. we'll be sure to take lots of other evidence stating his name and maybe even try to correct it later! Thank you guys very much :)

And WOW ginalisa... A whole year to change it!!!!!!!!! That's crazzzzzzy!
