I brought up your religious belief because one of the principal tenets of your belief system is that you endevour to care for those who are less fortunate than yourself. Good health is not simply in the hands of the individual - would that it were. For the most part good health is the product of excellent genetic material. Those with less than steller genetic material, those predisposed to various conditions and diseases, those people are 'those who are less fortunate' than everyone else. It looks remarkably like your belief system takes a back seat when it comes to health care in favour of a whole hearted support of free market economics. I find that most bizarre.

I don't know that I have ever shared the tenants of faith with you or anyone else here to know what they are.

BUt for conversations sake I will play along.

Are you suggesting people should take the understanding of what God commands of them..... and force it on others as well?

Can you remind me of one instance where God tells us to take the burden (of obedience) and impose it on others? Seems to me all his Commandments in this regard were "non transferable".

But lets see if we can't find some common ground here.

If I have your permission to compel others to follow the dictates of my conscience in this matter (healthcare), do I have license to do it in all others as well?

People who otherwise don't want it will be forced for LIFE ...to make this payment which in todays dollars will amount to a new car payment. Who knows what it will grow to cost in 5-10 years.

I am not asking you to do something that is against your belief system - rather asking you why when it comes to health care you abandon it completely in favour of economic principals that are exactly opposite of these principals? Remember, the tenets of christianity are not secrets, these principals are pretty widely known.

Remember also that I have said that I would not trample over the weak simply to get a better health care deal, which is really what it boils down to in the case of health insurance and the denials of coverage. Quite honestly, I find it totally unethical but you seem to think it's normal and natural. I am just trying to understand how anyone can reconcile themselves to this, least of all someone who's belief system is based on the idea that the strong will care for the weak.

Christians are about compassion and caring. No ifs or buts about it.

Like guns, you guys are not interested in what is best. It does not matter what evidence, research, and examples (really you name it) are presented to you. Your belief will stay the same. When you have people saying well a brick is a weapon too, that is when you realize what sort of mindset you are dealing with.

The propaganda is obviously that:

1. Obama has a master plan to nationalize.

2. This is part of the master plan to socialize.

3. You currently have the best health care in the world, regardless of the experiences of people who have used both; let alone international research. Nope Rush and Hannity know better.

4. Strengthening existing policies will somehow lead to government takeover.

The above bullcrap is what is a f---ing lie...
