Of course. But at least the government is our government. Do you trust some of the crooks that run these private companies? I don't.

As I said six, there is a reason why everyone else in those countries is more concerned about their information and the private sector than the government. Because they realize that once the information hits the private sector, it's uncontrollable. It's why American style data mining companies simply do not exist. My point is, people here are to concerned about the government but totally ignore the reality that their information is readily available. You cannot retrieve specific personal information using a freedom of information act in AUS, that's for sure. However, totally different story here.

Not to long ago I saw a newspaper located in the adjacent county publish the salaries of each teacher. Publish as in you type in their name and it gives you their exact salary. Had they tried that in the UK, Canada or Australia, the editors would be serving federal time now. Plus the newspaper would be fined to the point they would have to shutdown. Not in America, FOIA protects that. Can you imagine the uproar in the UK or Australia?

I am sure you can find out information about the government in these countries. But just because someone works as an employee of the government, does not mean their information would be available. Same deal with public utilities here where I can find out where you live using various record. Same deal with who has a gun license. That is a bloody joke. And would warrant a goal sentence in Aus.

Yea the pesky little thing (that I decribed in detail) is that Obama wasn't lying (his plan does NOT cover illegal immigrants). Of course you & the VJ Right glossed over that fact.

The way Obama can claim he's not a liar is by saying the health care plan is not "designed" to cover illegal aliens (aka leeches). He used the D word before. But our current employment system in the USA is not "designed" to employ illegal aliens. But they find a way to skirt the law.

The Democrats refuse to include legal residence requirement in any health care plan.

Once again people can't be honest.

Would seem to me if this point had any weight at all, the Multi billion dollar "Plan" would define who will and won't be receiving this healthcare and how they would enforce it..... did you find that in the plan?

Would you not like to see the end of the dumping of insurees who's claims prove 'inconvenient' (expensive) to the insurance companies? Does none of this seem like a good idea to you, really?

Apparently reading or scrolling up is against ToS, since I did show that illegal immigrants are prohibited from receiving benefits. The issue is with enforcement, which I believe needs improvement. However to say Obama "lied" about covering illegal immigrants is the actual lie.

Another example of how those without religion in their life are the first to bring it into a conversation.

As for "pre existing conditions" why would I expect my auto policy (state farm) to cover me for accidents or damages I caused before I was even with them?

Why would I expect my home-owners policy to cover a slip and fall accident which happened 6 months before My coverage started?

If my car, my only source of transportation gets destroyed in a flood, should I be able to run out the next week buy insurance and be covered?

Do you think any company can play by Obamas Rules and not;

A. raise their rates considerable

B. Go out of business.

But we both know thats the plan don't we?

There might be a simplified "rating" OR coding method used so people will know exactly what their coverage is.

I am betting if we gave a test to most of us, we would not know the limits and basic terms of our policies (my self included).

When you take out a loan, you are required to sign forms with the interest rate and terms spelled out in easy to read terms. Businesses to often use the natural tendency of people to "Not" read the details because they are buried.

To often they don't discover the limits of their policy until the NEED it and are now unable to go somewhere else.

Bottom line, I am all for making companies and people abide by the agreement they made.
