I think it shows the sad state our country is in when our political leaders cannot show respect for the POTUS if he is of a different political party than themselves.

Yes it is acceptable now and it should have been then, that is they problem with the USA, we have all these Ovomit lover like you that have no guts to ask the tough questions of him and to have him explain himself, thus he has been sheltered and given a free pass. AND as you can clearly see we are all sick of his lies! He does lie all the time. He has no clue what he is doing in office and what has he done in the past 8 months other than spend us further into debt? And just how do you think he is going to pay for it? 1. Heckling is the BEST part of politics. I think the Canadian and British systems of Parliament got it right. I get such a chuckle out of seeing people beating decks and shouting "For Shammmmeeee!!!" To me, you can't have politics without some back seat driving. Not saying what Joe did was right, but it's definitely funny to me.

2. B. , What were you expecting? I mean, seriously, I don't think any one intelligent being was expecting one man to stop the US from drowning. If you seriously expected "change" to happen in a matter of months such as the economy thriving again, I think you may be unrealistic.

2. C. , If you are intelligent being, which I'm hoping you are, I would hope that you understand that the President has hundreds of advisers and that the President is rarely the one shooting the gun, it's usually the policy analysts, the financial gurus, etc. Come on now.

First of all I'm glad both the Republicans & Democrats have denounced Wilson's remarks. As for the claim that Obama is lying about covering illegal immigrants the truth is that H.R. 3200: Sec 246 states NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS. Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States. However a number of illegal immigrants fall through the cracks (i.e. enforcement is flawed) so some end up getting health coverage. This is a separate issue and claiming that Obama's plan covers illegal immigrants is simply an untrue statement

I'm denouncing it as well. I think when the executive branch comes to give a speech to the legistative branch, there should be equal respect. That being said, there was no denouncing way back when. I like to point out the hypocrisy.

There's a lot of bad blood between the Republicans & Democrats and a lot of mud slinging going on. When Bush was President you saw a lot of very angry Democrats lashing out & now that Obama is President you see the same stuff coming from the Republicans. It serves no purpose to keep a tally of who does what because neither party is innocent. We need to get back to a political environment where the best interests of the nation come before making sure the other party fails.

On this particular topic I stated the truth earlier in the thread & Wilson's claim that Obama's healthcare plan will cover illegal immigrants is simply a false statement. The problem is that rhetoric & outrageous claims (on any topic, not just this one) get a lot more attention than the truth.
