If you're a Moroccan citizen and these offenses are all there. I think you'll have to deal with getting a pardon from that government, the Canadian gov't has no jurisdiction over that. I'm not sure if that's what you meant when asking about it. Then of course you'll need the police certficate from your home country when applying to immigrate to Canada eventually.

seems that those offenses were committed while he was in the US....moon44, sorry but it looks like you're kind of screwed.

How do you know this enraptured, do you have some links for Canadian immigration for offences?

I would recommend that you have your fiancee call immigration Canada and discuss your offenses with them.

moon44,

Read over the information link I provided you on Rehabilitation. It will have the information you need if you are considering immigrating to Canada. If you can meet the requirements for Rehabilitation as stated, you may have the option of immigrating to Canada. It isn't a fast or inexpensive route, but if you are able to meet the criteria, then it is doable. If you don't meet the criteria then you would not be eligible. A Pardon may only provide you with part of the evidence and the Pardon has to be issued by the country in which the offenses occurred.

helllo everyone,

thanks kathryn41,indeed ive red on that link that you sent me, and what i understand is after 5 years from the last day of your sentence you can apply for rehabillitation, andi think thats apply for me(my last day of probation was in02 /2003),so i think am elligible for applying for rehabilitation.

now my quetion is :what would be faster apply from here(canadian embassy) or should my fianceé get a competent lawyer in canada and apply from there.

and i think i shouldnt apply for pardon from USA,because 1:i have no one there can do it for me 2: i thing is going to be a dead end,OR i also have to apply for pardon,if yes how can i do it?????.
