I may be unemployed soon. My husband has conditional residence right now and we will apply to have the conditions lifted in April of 2010. Will the claiming of unemployment benefits from the State affect approval to have conditions lifted?

no i don't think so. If u have money to pay their fee n proof to show ur ongoing relationship like joint acct, joint taxes, joint utility bill, joint lease or mortgage, birth certificate of ur child, joint health insurance n etc, u r good to go.

Proof of income is not part of the Lifting/Removing Conditions process. Hope you're back on your feet soon, seems to be going around a lot lately.

Thanks all for the advice and good wishes! With so many people unemployed I'm glad that there are no restrictions on claiming unemployment.
