my wife and i had a lovely visit with the consular at the embassey in bogota, colombia. the consular spent 1 hour together with me grilling me on many different topics, he spent 15 minutes with my wife and then informed me that he could not issue the visa for the I - 129 because he did not believe in our relationship. now we have another appointment with the consular for the I - 130. will the I - 130 be easier for us or will the failure of the I - 129 come and haunt us and make this one more difficult for us ?

WELL, THE i - 130 WAS A TOTAL DISGRACE FOR US, WE ARRIVED HERE AND GOT TO THE CONSULAR AND WERE TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT CONDUCT THE INTERVIEW BECAUSE WE HAD THE I - 129 F BEING REVIEWED FOR A POSSIBLE REAFFIRMATION IN THE USCIS, I CALLED THE NVC AND USCIS AND THEY EXPLAINED THAT THE EMBASSEY WAS WRONG AND SHOULD CONDUCT THE INTERVIEW BECAUSE IT IS A DIFFERENT PROCESS, NVC SCHEDULED THE APPOINTMENT, THE EMBASSEY APPROVED OF THE INTERVIEW, SOMEBODY JUST COST ME A BUNCH OF MONEY, TIME, PAIN AND SUFFERING FOR MY WIFE WHO HAD TO PREPARE THE MEDICAL REVIEW AGAIN TOGETHER WITH 2 INJECTIONS, MENTAL ANGUISH, RELATIONSHIP AND MARRIAGE STRESS, WOW, IS THIS PROCESS REALLY A SHAM TO TORTURE PEOPLE WHO FALL IN LOVE AND MARRY FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES, NOW THE SUGGESTION IS TO START ALL OVER AGAIN FROM THE BEGINNING LOL, I GUESS THAT I SHOULD JUST MOVE TO COLOMBIA AND FIND WORK HERE

Talk to your congressional rep/ senator's offices about this. Sorry to hear you went through this.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Definitely contact your state's representatives for help on this. The embassy should give you a fair interview for the I-130 since it's for a CR1 visa and not a K3. Don't give up!

don't you just love those worthless POS staff in bogota?

most of the decisions are being made not by US staff, but by ignorant colombian staff unfit to clean the urinals of the brothels from which they were issued.
